  • Publication number: 20240111216
Abstract: A method of depositing an outer layer (35) on a surface (36) of a reflective optical element (30) for the EUV wavelength range, wherein the depositing is effected in at least one macro cycle (37). The macro cycle (37) includes: at least partly depositing the outer layer (35) with an atomic layer deposition (ALD) process in at least one ALD cycle and partly back-etching the outer layer (35). Also disclosed is a reflective optical element (30) for the extreme ultraviolet (EUV) wavelength range which includes a surface (36) having an outer layer (35), wherein the outer layer (35) is deposited by the above-described method, and to an EUV lithography system having at least one such reflective optical element (30).

  • Publication number: 20080104949
Abstract: Methods, constructions, and systems for treating engine emissions. An engine includes a crankcase, an air intake, a blow-by vent, and an exhaust port; the crankcase emits blow-by gases through the blow-by vent, and the engine produces an exhaust stream through the exhaust port. The blow-by gases are directed through a blow-by filter to produce filtered gases. The filtered gases are directed back into the air intake of the engine; and the exhaust stream is treated with at least one of a catalytic converter, a flow through filter, and a diesel particulate filter. Total particulate matter (PM) emissions of a turbo-charged diesel engine having an engine crankcase and an exhaust tailpipe are reducible. The total emissions includes particulate matter emissions from the engine crankcase added to the particulate matter emissions from the exhaust tailpipe.

  • Patent number: 7175485
Abstract: An improved clamp that can be inserted into a wiring device independent of a wiring termination assembly thereby reducing the complexity and cost of the manufacture of the wiring device. The clamp has a pair of legs spaced apart forming an opening to allow the wiring termination assembly to be inserted therebetween. The wiring device includes support members to support the clamp legs so to permit the clamp to pivot about the support member independently of the wiring termination assembly.

  • Patent number: 7140507
Abstract: An improved insulated cooler has accessory holders detachably secured to its outer wall. An exemplary holder is provided for containerized drinks. The holder is made of a rigid plastic upper ring at the top and may have flexible fabric or mesh lower portion at the bottom such that the holders can be nested into receptacles in the top surface of the lid for convenient storage. This arrangement provides the benefit of permitting the user to access conveniently the contents of the ice chest without having to remove drinks that otherwise would be sitting on the lid of the ice chest. There also may be one or more connections on the ice chest that permit a fishing rod holder, an umbrella holder, or other accessory holder to be affixed to the cooler.

  • Patent number: 5503629
Abstract: A therapeutic implant apparatus adapted for installation in the mouth of a maxillomandibularly fixated patient to facilitate oral feeding of the patient. The apparatus is installed in the patient's mouth and where it remains throughout the fixation therapy. The apparatus comprises an arched member having a tubular conduit provided therein. The tubular conduit includes an inlet port adapted for connection to a feeding tube and at least one outlet port for discharging liquid conveyed by the feeding tube into the patient's mouth. The arched member is preferably U-shaped in configuration to correspond substantially to the arrangement of the patient's dentition and is desirably fabricated from flexible material to accommodate the topography of the patient's teeth.

  • Patent number: 5097180
Abstract: A self contained battery operated table lamp for use in restaurants, and the like. The lamp includes an electric light which is energized on an intermittent basis by a switching circuit to assure long battery life. A feed back loop is included in the switching circuit for establishing the duty cycle of the energizing power intermittingly applied to the lamp. A flicker signal generator is connected to the energizing circuit of the light to introduce a flicker into the output of the light. The flicker signal generator incorporates a plurality of independent oscillators, each operating at a slightly different frequency. The outputs of the various oscillators are summed in a summing network with each being given a slightly different weighting factor, and the resulting signal is injected into a feedback loop to modify the average voltage of the light. The lamp is caused to provide a pseudo-random candle simulating effect.

  • Patent number: 4755122
Abstract: The weight regulator for an injection moulding machine (1) to be controlled by a process regulator (13) comprises a circuit arrangement (15) for determining a final pressure adjustment value from the predetermined nominal weight of the injection-moulded parts to be manufactured by the injection moulding machine (1), a subtraction device (16), which forms the difference between the nominal weight and the actual weight of the injection-moulded parts produced by the injection moulding machine (1) delivered by an analytic balance (12), an integrator (17) for producing a correction value from the difference between the actual weight and the nominal weight an an adder (18) which is connected between the circuit arrangement (15) and the process regulator (13) and which adds the correction value to the final pressure adjustment value so that a nominal value of the final pressure is obtained that can be supplied to the process regulator (13).

  • Patent number: 4075897
Abstract: A pair of orthogonal drive shafts carry cams which are coupled to a platform for orbital movement of the platform. The platform supports a workpiece below an electrode in an electrical discharge machining operation. The cams are cylindrical segments which extend axially at an acute angle to their respective drive shafts so as to present a changing throw along the axial extent of the cams and the coupling means is selectively adjustable along the axial extent of the cams to enable selection of the amplitude of the orbit. In another embodiment, a single drive shaft carries cams each having a throw extending perpendicular to the drive shaft and a further cam having a throw parallel to the drive shaft. The cams are coupled to a platform for orbital movement of the platform and have changing throws in the respective directions of the throws to enable selection of the amplitude of the orbit.
