  • Patent number: 11992977
Abstract: A method for cleaning a vulcanization mold for tires in a curing press uses device having a collaborative mobile robot and incorporating a computer program. The robot includes an autonomous mobile platform mounted on drive wheels and having batteries supplying electricity, a dry ice dispenser, sensors for identifying the location of the mold to be cleaned, and motors ensuring its displacement between a storage location of the device and the mold to be cleaned and the displacement of an articulated mobile arm of the robot. The robot bears a nozzle for spraying dry ice from the dispenser. The device comprises means for communication with a control unit. The control unit sends a mission instruction to the device, which navigates between a storage location and the location of the mold and automatically cleans the vulcanization mold.

  • Publication number: 20230280709
Abstract: Methods and systems for managing energy consumption during a power-loss event provide a backup power unit that can notify electronic devices of a switch to backup power. The electronic devices can then automatically minimize power consumption upon receiving such notification. The notification can take the form of one or more signals indicative of a backup power operational state. The signals may be sent to the electronic devices over any suitable wired or wireless connection. Depending on the particular operational states, the electronic devices can take one or more predefined backup power handling actions, such as reducing device functionality, entering low-power mode, performing a controlled shutdown, and the like. The particular actions taken may depend on the type of devices, such that certain devices may have power consumption priority over other devices. The above arrangement provides an intelligent way to reduce overall energy consumption during a power-loss event.

  • Patent number: 11132476
Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media are disclosed for automatically generating aircraft models by modifying quantitative design variables based on joint analysis of aerodynamic, structural, and/or energy performance. For example, in one or more embodiments, disclosed systems iteratively modify ailerons and a propulsion system based on performance criteria until a balancing metric converges. The disclosed systems then determine performance metrics corresponding to the aircraft model with the modified ailerons and propulsion system, such as stresses and deflections under performance load, a measure of aeroelastic stability, and a battery performance metric. The disclosed systems can then modify design variables based on the determined performance metrics to explore the design space and generate a new aircraft model.

  • Patent number: 11126758
Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media are disclosed for automatically generating an improved aircraft wing by modifying quantitative design variables of one or more airfoils based on joint analysis of aerodynamic and structural performance. In particular, the disclosed systems determine cross-sectional aerodynamic and structural performance metrics for identified airfoils. Based on cross-sectional metrics, the disclosed systems iteratively determine wing aerodynamic performance and deformation metrics across a span of the wing until arriving at an equilibrium deformation and corresponding aerodynamic metric. The disclosed systems can repeatedly analyze the aero-structural metrics for different quantitative design variables to explore a design space and generate an improved wing design while improving aerodynamic and structural performance.
