  • Patent number: 7226396
Abstract: A rehabilitation and fitness trainer apparatus includes a handle frame of generally U-shaped configuration, with two telescopic members attached at an angle to the base of the U-shaped handle portion, a generally U-shaped base frame including an elongated cross bar and two side members which extend rearwardly and at an outwardly extending angle from the elongated cross bar, and with the cross bar including a pair of elongated members that extend generally upwardly and rearwardly for cooperating and telescopingly engaging the pair of telescopic members extending from the handle frame. A locking device is provided for vertically adjusting and maintaining the vertical distance between the handle frame and the base frame in order to accommodate a wide variety of users of the apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20050246028
Abstract: A hinged knee prosthesis includes a femoral component with a tibiofemoral articular surface that is distinct from the patellofemoral articulating surface. Fully congruent tibiofemoral articulation is provided for virtually all flexion angles. Additionally, the bearing is capable of at least limited axial rotation relative to the tibial component but is restrained against dislocation. Accordingly, dislocation is much less likely even n those situations where collateral ligaments are insufficient.

  • Publication number: 20050182492
Abstract: The tibial component of a prosthetic ankle joint including a tibial component, a talar component, and an intermediate sliding plastic bearing, with the tibial component including a depending peripheral wall that surrounds and is spaced from the plastic bearing and is intended to reduce rubbing of the plastic bearing against tissue which would produce wear particles that lead to the formation of bone cysts. The depending peripheral wall of the tibial component is intended to reduce such possible abrasions by at least partially shielding the plastic bearing from the surrounding tissue.

  • Patent number: 6712744
Abstract: A portable exercise apparatus for rehabilitation and fitness training comprising horizontal side members attached to a horizontal cross bar. Vertical members extend upward and rearward from a mounting bracket attached to the middle of the cross bar where each vertical member contains a telescoping member for adjusting the height of the apparatus. A U-shaped handle is disposed on top of the telescoping members with a gripping section at each distal end. Each of the vertical and telescoping members have a plurality of apertures for inserting for inserting a locking device therethrough that secures the handle at the desired height. Wheels are attached along one face of the cross bar for ease of movement while a plurality of feet are disposed on the bottom face of the side members for stability and resistance to rolling while the apparatus is in use.
