  • Patent number: 5584773
Abstract: In the operation of modern day construction machinery, especially those of relatively large size, it is a common occurrence for the bearings in the axle assemblies to wear during the normal course of operation of the machine. As the wear occurs, minute particles become suspended in the fluid circulated within the axle assembly. As the particulate matter increases the wear is also accelerated and failure of one or more components in the axle assembly will frequently occur. The present invention provides an axle assembly with a filter and a cooler and flow control valve to remove the particulate matter and reduce the heat from the fluid circulated within the axle assembly.

  • Patent number: 3997040
Abstract: The invention comprises a console attachable to a vehicle to control a transmission thereof. The console comprises an enclosure which includes a plate atop the enclosure. The plate includes an indentation which forms a trough therein and further includes a channel passing through the plate in an upraised portion thereof adjacent the trough. A gearshift regulator extends through the channel, the regulator serving to control the transmission of a vehicle. A parking brake actuator is recessed within the trough. The actuator serves to control a parking brake of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 3954150
Abstract: A roll protective structure is provided in which a roof panel and floor panel are detachably mounted thereto. The mounting means are such that structural rigidity is maintained while insuring that there is no metal-to-metal contact between the respective panels and cab structure. The respective panels also provide for sound insulation.
