  • Publication number: 20110320592
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media for content delivery using deep packet inspection are disclosed. According to one method, steps are performed at a packet inspection (PI) module that is distinct from a cache module. The method includes receiving a request for content. The method also includes inspecting the request to obtain information about the content. The method further includes determining, by comparing the obtained information with traffic management policy information based on a dynamically derived content access profile, whether the cache module is to process the request. The method also includes, in response to determining that the cache module is to process the request, sending the request towards the cache module.
