    Abstract: A patient trolley has a power-assisted tiltable backrest. The power assistance is provided by two gas spring cylinders. Advantageously, the cylinders extends through the bed of the trolley. The cylinders are released when handles are operated by a user. The handles are located at adjacent corners at the head of the trolly.
