Abstract: An electronic device includes a display and a touch input disposed over the display. The touch input receives touch inputs from a user and detects location of the user's hand relative to the display including location of the user's hand in front of and not touching the touch input. A controller controls the display of content, including determining an obstructed area of the display that is obstructed from viewing by the user's hand as indicated by the detection made by the touch input; determining that a default location for the display of a new graphical user interface (GUI) element that should be added to the display overlaps with the obstructed area by at least a predetermined amount, and changing a manner in which the new GUI element is displayed so that the new GUI element is not obstructed by the user's hand.

Abstract: The present invention relates to display in an electrical device and a method of enhancing interaction with user. The display comprises: a controller, a content displaying surface, a touch sensitive portion comprising one or several touch sensors, for providing the controller with information about presence of a pointing object close to the surface, a motion sensor for providing motion of the display. The controller is configured to control content output on the displaying surface and adjust the content output with respect to information from the touch sensor and the motion senor.

Abstract: A rendering device is configured to dynamically vary how audio and visual information is rendered by a rendering device responsive to changes in distance between the rendering device and a mobile device carried by a user. As the user moves about, the distance between the rendering device and the mobile device carried by the user will vary. As the distance between the mobile device and the rendering device changes, the rendering system can dynamically adapt how the audio and visual information is rendered. For example, the rendering device can increase or decrease the volume of an audio output, depending on changes in the distance. Also, the rendering device can change how visual information is rendered on a display responsive to changes in distance. In some embodiments, when the distance between the mobile device and rendering device exceeds a predetermined distance, the audio and/or visual information may be sent to the mobile device.

Abstract: A method for generating content data for a video file (200) is provided. The video file (200) comprises a video sequence and the content data (201) for characterizing the video sequence. According to the method, at least one face containing image (204, 205, 207, 209, 212) is determined by scanning at least a part of the video sequence for face containing images. Each face containing image contains at least one representation of a face. Based on the determined face containing image a picture containing the face is generated and assigned to the content data (201) of the video file (200).

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for continuously sterilizing water for spraying the pistons in a piston pump or a homogenizer. The heating takes place in a first stage in a first heat exchanger and in a second stage in a second heat exchanger. The first heat exchanger operates regeneratively so that incoming cold water is heated in the first heat exchanger by water which has been heated by steam in the second heat exchanger. After the second heat exchanger the water is at a temperature of at least 121° C. and is to stay at this temperature in a holding cell during a predetermined period of time. After the water has been cooled regeneratively in the first heat exchanger it is to be at a temperature which exceeds 75° C.

Abstract: The present invention relates to mobile data communications in general, and more specifically, the present invention describes a route optimization technique requiring no awareness of the Mobile IP protocol by a Correspondent Node when forwarding traffic using the shortest path between a Mobile Node and the Correspondent Node in a visiting domain. The invention describes the management of route entries, network address translations and firewall filters in order to provide a secure, yet, flexible deployment of Mobile IP route optimization. Specific considerations are described for the case of separate Foreign Agent and co-located care-of address respectively.

Abstract: A fleet engine, a crew engine, a passenger engine and an integration engine that communicate with a distributed computer network via two-way communication channels to monitor and repair disruptions to schedules particularly in the airline industry. When a disruption occurs, the method will produce a plurality of solutions that are structurally different for evaluation by the controller or operations manager. The method of generating solutions includes two phases. A first phase with artificially relaxed costs and a second phase with costs that reflect the policies and actual costs of the relevant activities. Upon creating structurally different solutions, the method evaluates the solutions and presents summary information about the solutions to the operations manager. If a violation of a rule occurs in a solution, an alert is generated to notify a user of the rule violation.
