  • Patent number: 9676545
Abstract: The application describes fragrant water-soluble packaging which contains a liquid laundry detergent or cleaning composition and a water-soluble envelope. The liquid laundry detergent or cleaning composition comprises at least 10% by weight of glycerol, a second solvent, surfactant and a perfume, where the perfume contains particular amounts of perfume constituents.

Date of Patent: June 13, 2017
Assignee: Henkel AG & Co. KGaA
Inventors: Matthias Sunder, Frank Meier, Katherine G. Yu, Sabine Schuemann, Mario Sturm, Friedhelm Siepmann, Andreas Bauer
  • Publication number: 20140378368
Abstract: The application describes a water-soluble package which comprises an agent and a water-soluble covering, wherein at least part of an exposed surface of the water-soluble package is dusted with a saccharide-containing powder. Saccharide-dusted water-soluble packages exhibit advantages in terms of their transport properties during the production and packaging process and during storage in a secondary package.

  • Publication number: 20080003610
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for quantitatively and/or qualitatively identifying germs in a sample, which method comprises a step (a) of preparing the sample by labeling at least some of the germs present in the sample by means of at least one fluorescent marker and a step (b) involving a quantitative and/or qualitative detection and/or evaluation by recording and/or measuring fluorescence emission, wherein, in step (b), the sample containing the fluorescently labeled germs, prepared in step (a), is subjected to an excitation radiation of a defined wavelength or a defined wavelength range for a defined period of time, and the time course of the fluorescence emission radiation generated due to said excitation is recorded, so that a discrimination first, between the measured signals caused by the fluorescently labeled germs, second, possible interfering signals is made possible, thereby identifying the fluorescently labeled germs in the sample in a quantitative and/or qualitative manner.

  • Publication number: 20060024710
Abstract: A method for quantitative and/or qualitative determination of germs in a liquid sample comprises the steps of: (1) passing the sample through a filter thereby depositing the germs on a major portion of the filter so that a minor portion of the filter is free of germ deposits; (2) applying a fluorescent label to at least a portion of the deposited germs; (3) determining the presence and/or the amount of labeled germs by fluorescent reflection photometry. The method according to the present invention is suitable, for example, for quantitative and/or qualitative determination of germs in foodstuffs, surfactant-containing products such as washing and cleaning agents, surface treatment agents, dispersion products, cosmetics, hygiene products and personal care products, pharmaceuticals, adhesives, coolant lubricants, coatings and coating coagulations, as well as raw materials and starting materials for the aforesaid products.

  • Patent number: 6617165
Abstract: A method for the automatic monitoring and control of the content of surfactants of an aqueous process solution, wherein, under program control: a sample having a predetermined volume is taken from the aqueous process solution; the content of surfactants in the sample is determined utilizing measuring equipment capable of analyzing the sample; the results of the analysis are output by the system; the functional capacity of the measuring equipment is checked by determining the surfactant content of one or more standard solutions if the results of the analysis of the content of surfactants on two consecutive drawn samples differs by a preselected value; and corrective action is automatically taken if the check of the measuring equipment reveals any problems. Bath maintenance measures may be initiated automatically or by request from a remote location according to pre-determined criteria. The method reduces the number of staff for bath monitoring and bath maintenance and increases process safety.

  • Patent number: 5441611
Abstract: The invention concerns a method of determining the concentration of an iodine-iodide-containing active substance in aqueous solutions intended for use in the cleaning or disinfection of containers such as bottles, drums, kegs, cases and tanks and/or pipe lines in the food-processing industry, as well as for industrial scale cleaning in continuous washing plants, the concentration of the active substances in the solution being measured by determining the iodine/iodide content of the solution. The invention provides a rapid, reliable and accurate method which is not prone to interference and can be used on a continuous basis. In addition, it makes it possible to automate the process by which the active substance is kept at the required concentration. In particular, the method proposed can be employed in an integrated cleaning-in-place system.
