  • Publication number: 20240043829
Abstract: Provided herein are base editor systems comprising fusion proteins that comprise zinc finger protein and cytidine deaminase domains, as well as methods of using the base editor systems. The systems can be used to specifically alter a single base pair in a target DNA sequence.

  • Patent number: 10876135
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods to modify at least one target locus in a plant cell, comprising, providing a plant cell with one or more target loci and one or more donor loci, followed by induction of homologous recombination between homologous regions of at least one target locus and at least one donor locus by at least one rare cleaving nuclease. The present invention related also to target loci, donor loci and nuclease loci used in these methods, and plant cells, plants and plant parts comprising these target loci, donor loci, nuclease loci and/or the recombined loci.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4517057
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for short-path, high-vacuum distillation from a liquid on plate-like evaporating surfaces from which distillable fractions evaporate and precipitate onto condensation surfaces a short distance away, the liquid is placed upon the evaporating surfaces at a temperature such that the energy required for its evaporation is taken, at least in part, from the still-unevaporated fraction of the liquid.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 4, 1982
Date of Patent: May 14, 1985
    Assignee: Leybold-Heraeus GmbH
    Inventors: Friedrich Fauser, Willi Fischer
  • Patent number: 4366049
Abstract: The object of the invention is a process for recycling used lubricating oils. After drying and gasoline removal, the oil is distilled and then treated with sodium or sodium hydride in a finely-divided state at elevated temperature. This is followed by a further distillation. Both distillations are at temperatures below 300.degree. C., the oil fractions of low volatility being respectively distilled in a molecular distillation apparatus at below 2 mbar.
