  • Patent number: 9362011
Abstract: A boiling water reactor assembly includes a bayonet plate closure between a control rod guide tube and a drive housing pipe. The bayonet plate closure has a bayonet plate constructed in two parts including a central bayonet ring mounted rotatably about its longitudinal axis and an outer ring completely surrounding the bayonet ring. The outer ring is mounted on the periphery of the bayonet ring and reaches inwards under the bayonet ring periphery. The ring is furthermore permanently supported in the axial direction on the drive housing pipe by spring pressure acting on the control rod guide tube, in order to produce a frictional connection. The spring pressure can be released unhindered from the reactor side by tools.

    Filed: January 29, 2014
Date of Patent: June 7, 2016
    Assignee: Areva GmbH
Inventors: Andreas Lemm, Elayza Irak, Benediktus Wintermann, Friedrich Leibold

  • Patent number: 7751522
Abstract: A covering element for a reactor core of a nuclear installation provides a secure and tight closure of the reactor core in an operating state and at the same time being simple and cost effective to produce. The covering element is easily disassemblable during maintenance or loading processes and provides good possibilities for intervention in the reactor core. For this purpose, the covering element has a closure head and a separate support ring. The support ring is joined form-lockingly and/or force-lockingly to the closure head.

  • Publication number: 20030179847
Abstract: A fixture for cooling a core of a nuclear reactor, in particularly for a boiling water reactor, has spray nozzles and are disposed above the core. It is provided that the distributor pipes are mounted in displaceable fashion. In this manner, mechanical damage from thermal expansion and contraction is limited or avoided altogether.

  • Publication number: 20020098036
Abstract: A screwing device is described that contains a drive housing tube nut to be screwed onto a control rod drive housing tube of a nuclear power station. The drive housing tube nut has an axis of rotation. A locking pin is disposed into the drive housing tube nut. The locking pin is disposed inclined radially to the axis of rotation at an axial inclination angle with respect to the axis of rotation of the drive housing tube nut. The locking pin is further oriented such that one component of orientation of the locking pin points in a tangential direction.

  • Patent number: 6178219
Abstract: A holder for fuel elements in a reactor, in particular in a boiling water reactor, is provided, as well as a method for repairing such a holder. A core grid is demounted from a core shroud and replaced by a new forged core grid for the purpose of repairing the holder. An adapter ring is to be inserted between the new core grid and the core shroud. There is provision for connecting the adapter ring to the core grid without a welding operation, for example by shrink fitting.
