  • Patent number: 6749189
Abstract: A workbench (1) has a horizontal support (3) of a work component, especially in the form of clamping jaws (31, 32) or a work top, a foot part (4) and a support body (2) interlinking the foot part (4) and the work component support (3). The support body (2) that is mounted with its end (11) facing the foot close to the edge of the horizontally extending foot part (4) is mounted with its other end (16) diagonally juxtaposed close to the edge of the work component support (3).

  • Patent number: 6290048
Abstract: A wheel hub with integral planetary gear mechanism and multidisk brake, in which the outer plates of the brake are actively connected directly to the wheel hub and the inner plates are connected to the axle body via a brake carrier, is to be of simple design and easy to install and to be of small structure.

  • Patent number: 5791210
Abstract: Spring-tension pliers are disclosed having two clamping arms (2, 3) mounted see-saw fashion on a pivot pin (1), the arms forming a handle (4) with their legs, the legs being pivotable toward one another against the force of a spring (5) to open a clamping mouth formed by the other ends of the legs (6), with clamping jaws (7) being associated with the free ends of the clamping legs (6). The clamping jaws (7) are pivotable around a pivot axis (8') parallel to the pivot joint axis, end sections (9) of the clamping legs are rounded concentrically with respect to jaw pivot axis (8'), and these rounded areas (11) each fit into a correspondingly rounded recess (10) of the clamping jaws.

  • Patent number: 4934695
Abstract: Exercising or body building apparatus wherein the frame supports two levers which are mounted on spherical joints and carry handles which are movable longitudinally of the respective levers. Adjustable loads are provided to yieldably resist movements of the handles longitudinally and/or transversely of the frame and/or away from the respective joints. The frame carries a bed which can be converted into a seat for the exerciser, and the frame confines a pair of pedals which can be reached and driven by the legs when the bed is converted into a seat.

  • Patent number: 4835400
Abstract: A recliner pane of acrylic glass which is used to overlie the reflectors and the radiation sources in the support of a chair-like or cot-like tanning apparatus has a horizontal central section which supports the lower part of the back of the occupant, an upwardly sloping second section which supports the back and the head of the occupant and is disposed at one side of the central section, and a third section which slopes upwardly at the other side of the central section and supports the thighs of the occupant. A horizontal fourth section can be provided between the foot end of the pane and the third section to support the legs of the occupant. Such pane is sufficiently comfortable to enable the occupant to remain in an optimum position for tanning during a required interval of time.

  • Patent number: 4703184
Abstract: Full-sized skin tanning apparatus has a row of twelve parallel long tubular radiation emitting lamps and five shorter lamps which alternate with the four centrally located longer lamps and emit radiation in the region of the head of an adult person who is tanning her or his skin. The lamps emit ultraviolet radiation primarily or exclusively in the UVA range and emit no radiation in the UVC range. The shorter lamps cooperate with the adjacent portions of the longer lamps to tan the skin on the face more intensively than the skin on other parts of the body which is tanned by the longer lamps.

  • Patent number: 4683379
Abstract: A sunlamp whose cylindrical envelope contains a mixture of three substances the first of which emits radiation with pronounced peaks in the red, blue and green bands of the visible range of the spectrum, the second of which emits radiation with a less pronounced peak in the long-wave portion of the UVA band, and the third of which emits with an even less pronounced peak radiation in the short-wave portion of the UVA band and down to 300 nm in the UVB band. The lamp is photobiologically effective in the UV range and is sufficiently bright in the range of visible light.

  • Patent number: 4407399
Abstract: A two-speed transmission with hydraulic actuation of the shifting operations under load for hydrostatically operated work machines, particularly caterpillar-track excavators, having a planetary gearing provided with double planet gears, and having packs of discs which are arranged coaxially around the axis of the sun gear of the planet gearing and which act as a clutch or as a brake, respectively. The planet carrier of the planetary gearing is formed as a flywheel and the shifting step of the transmission which serves for starting the work machine is shifted by means of compression springs, and the parking brake, biased by springs, connects the clutch and the brake non-rotatably relative to the housing of the transmission.

  • Patent number: 4316094
Abstract: A sunlamp with one or more pairs of aligned sockets for the prongs of plugs which are secured to the end portions of a tubular source of ultraviolet radiation in the UVA range and the neighboring portion of the UVB range. The combined length of the source and plugs is between 1770 and 1850 mm so that the source cannot be inserted into the sockets of a standard lamp using tubular sources of fluorescent light. The outer diameter of the source is between 38 and 40 mm if the combined length is between 1770 and 1850 mm. The source is connected in circuit with a timer which interrupts the emission of ultraviolet radiation after a preselected interval of tanning.
