Abstract: The invention relates to a profile for comb supports of escalators and moving walkways comprising a plurality of segments for being connected to a comb support, the segments having respective front faces juxtaposed to one another, wherein the front face of a first segment of the plurality of segments comprises a nose shaped projection and the front face of a second segment of the plurality of segments comprises a groove for receiving said projection of the first segment, forming a tongue and groove arrangement for releasably interlinking the segments outside of the comb support.

Abstract: The invention relates to a comb profile for comb supports of escalators and moving walks which consists of a plurality of segments that can be linked with the comb support. Individual or several segments can be releasably interlinked outside the comb support. Segments that are juxtaposed with their front faces are functionally joined by tongue and groove joints.

Abstract: A pallet body (1) consists of a stepboard (2) with toothed front and rear edges, linking eyes (7, 8) that receive and guide linking and/or driving elements (21) and stepboard supporting elements (9, 10) that receive and guide preceding and following pallet bodies equipped with corresponding linking elements. The linking eyes and stepboard supporting elements are mounted on the one hand under the stepboard, within its lateral edges, and project on the other hand over a predetermined distance beyond the front and rear edges.

Abstract: A method for the assembly/dismantling of axles and/or the steps or pallets of escalators or moving sidewalks includes providing between parallel extending traction elements a plurality of axles and connecting the axles to the traction elements. The axles are provided with flattened zones in assembly regions for the steps or pallets and the assembly regions are provided, respectively, with an approximately eyelet-shape designed that has a corresponding slot fitted onto the respective flattened zones of the axles. The axles are turned at a predetermined angle around their longitudinal axis relative to the steps or pallets and subsequently at least one connecting element is inserted into a respective one of the assembly regions for securing the axles relative to the steps or pallets.

Abstract: A transportation system includes pallet cars coupled with one another; the pallet cars being for the positive non-slipping transportation of baggage conveyor cars for escalators. On the lower side of the pallet cars, arc-shaped drivers are pivotably mounted about one of the carrying axles constituting a pivot point, by means of a bracket. The drivers are supported on a track via a roller secured at a pivot point on the driver such that during the transportation operation the driver projects through a slot in the pallet car and engages in back of a catch which is secured at the bottom of the baggage conveyor car. Shortly before reaching the horizontal part of the transportation system the driver disengages from the catch of the baggage conveyor car.

Parallel to the escalator for the transportation of people there is arranged an endless baggage conveyor belt which is provided with balustrades, which conveyor belt is driven synchronously with the escalator.
