  • Patent number: 4424838
Abstract: A method for protection of metal surfaces against corrosion especially for use in automobiles consists in that a tube manifold system is connected with a central supply station containing an anticorrosive agent. Branch tubes of the manifold are connected with a plurality of metal surfaces and perforated in the area of the surfaces in order to distribute the agent over the surfaces when a pressure is generated in the supply station. The metal surfaces are covered by a layer of absorbent material which is saturated with the anticorrosive agent to provide for a long-time protection.

  • Patent number: 4354773
Abstract: A ground covering element adapted for positioning adjacent another ground covering element. The outer contour of the ground covering element forms projections and recesses about its entire periphery, has corner projections which form the vertices of a rectangle and line portions all of which are oblique to the sides of the rectangle connecting the corner projections. At least two of the line portions connecting each of the vertices are of equal length and the remaining line portions have lengths which are integer multiples of the lengths of the at least two line portions of equal length. A plurality of irregular spaced polygons project from the top surface to form raised portions, the majority of the polygons differing in shape from each other. The edges of the raised portions are straight and separated from each other by dummy gaps having widths which vary linearly along the entire length thereof and from the periphery of the ground covering element by marginal dummy gaps.

  • Patent number: 4315394
Abstract: In a wrap-around packaging machine by means of which a film loop is wrapped around a plurality of objects, the film passes through a slit provided in a rotary tensioning roller at an end of which a driving pulley is fastened. A rope is wound around the driving pulley. One end of the rope is connected to a traction device and the other end is connected to a restoring device. The tensioning roller by the operation of the traction device can be rotated from a first defined position in which the film freely passes through the slit of the tensioning roller into a second position in which the film is clamped at the tensioning roller and the film loop is tensioned. Then after welding or heat sealing of the film loop the traction device is made inoperative and the restoring device operates in order to move back the tensioning roller into its defined first position.

  • Patent number: 4149354
Abstract: Shrink wrapping apparatus including a hot air circulation system having a stand-by circuit and an operating circuit. A movable control plate switches from one circuit to the other dependent on the existence of an article the envelope of which is to be shrunk. The operating circuit is provided with a retaining chamber which is open at the front side of the apparatus and can only be covered by an article. A hot air recovery system is provided for collecting the hot air leak streams in the neighborhood of the opening of the retaining chamber.
