  • Publication number: 20070295438
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device (1) to prevent contamination on a wall inner side (53, 54, 55, 56, 67) of a transport device (10) for fibers (60) which are designated for the production of fiberboards and which after wetting with glue in a dry-gluing unit (2) are transported by the transport device to a further processing unit (13) by means of transport air. By returning dried material (50), which has been acquired during the course of further processing of the glued fibers and no longer has any cold-sticky glue, into the flow (7) of fibers (60), which still comprise cold-sticky glue, in the transport device, the said contamination is prevented in an effective and inexpensive manner.

  • Publication number: 20070001350
Abstract: Dried fibres which are designated for the production of fibre boards are supplied to a fibre roller (17) from a metering device through a feed chute (10) which is subjected to negative pressure, which fibre roller is provided on its surface with a plurality of pins (18) and rotates in such a manner that the fibres (14) are deflected by the pins (18), are directed along a chute section (22) defined by means of a partial section (20) of the periphery of the fibre roller (17) and an opposite-lying wall (21) and gluing means and said fibres are accelerated to approximately the peripheral speed of the fibre roller (17) by means of the pins (18) and an air flow generated by said pins. The fibres (36) lie against a section of the wall and are glued in the region of or adjacent to one end of the wall section and exit at an outlet orifice (23) of the chute section (22).

  • Patent number: 6902125
Abstract: Wood fibers (2) which are used in the production of fiberboards are supplied from a metering device (1) through a feed chute (7) lo a disintegration roller (12) comprising a plurality of pins (13) on its surface. The disintegration roller (12) rotates at high speed, in such a way that the pins (13) deflect the fibers (6) hitting the disintegration roller (12). The fibers are entrained (6) by the pins (13) and fed through a chute section (17) formed by a partial section (15) of the roller periphery and a wall (16) lying opposite the latter, to an outlet orifice (18) of the chute section (17). Either a forming belt (19) of a forming machine is located beneath the outlet orifice (18), or the fibers (6) pass the outlet orifice (18) into the air duct of an air fiber sifter. The disintegration roller (12) disintegrates irregularities in a fiber stream (6), e.g. fiber bundles, or drops of condensed water.

  • Patent number: 4364506
Abstract: A fastener driving tool comprising a tool housing a barrel mounted for axial displacement in the front portion of the housing, a cartridge chamber at the rearward end of the barrel, a breech member positioned within the rear portion of the housing, a cartridge ejector carried by the breech member, an ejector catch on the ejector arranged to engage the rear of the cartridge in the rearwardly displaced ready-to-fire position of the barrel, and a firing pin mounted for displacement within an axial bore through the breech member and arranged to be thrust forward by spring action, prevents rupturing of the cartridge upon firing by using the firing pin itself to prevent any movement of the cartridge ejector at the moment of detonation. The ejector is preferably a plate having a projecting catch and a bore therethrough into which the firing pin penetrates to block lateral movement of the ejector plate.

  • Patent number: 4172440
Abstract: Cutting filaments having a long service life consist of a monofilament of a synthetic polymer into which from 0.3 to 10 percent by weight of an abrasive are incorporated. In the cutting process the abrasive is not ripped off, as it does happen with steel wires bearing the abrasive on their surface, but it is pressed into the monofilament and can be easily recovered therefrom.

  • Patent number: 4036103
Abstract: Magazine apparatus for accommodating propellant charges including a flat coilable metal strip having a plurality of holes extending transversely therethrough for accommodating insertion of cartridges. Cartridge holding collars are formed at each of the holes by bulging or plastically deforming the strip in the region of these holes so as to form a clamping seat spaced from the plane of the strip for clampingly engaging cartridges held at the strip. Various preferred embodiments include various cross-sectional configurations of the holding collars. The method of making the magazine apparatus includes forming the collars by a multiple-step bulging process wherein the last bulging steps is formed by the cartridges as they are inserted into position on the strip.

  • Patent number: 4021520
Abstract: A process is provided for the manufacture of filament yarns having fine protruding filament ends, which comprises subjecting filament yarns, wherein at least part of the filaments consist of polymers the lateral bending resistance (Knickscheuerbestandigkeit) of which can be thermally influenced, to an intermittent sectional treatment, thus ensuring that determined sections of the filaments have a low lateral bending resistance, and by subsequently breaking these sections of low lateral bending resistance by transverse stress, which causes formation of the desired free filament ends.
