  • Publication number: 20190008663
Abstract: A prosthesis socket vacuum device includes a base formed with a first chamber formed with a discharge channel and a vacuum relief channel and a second chamber provided, on an underside thereof, with a locking assembly, which includes a position-constraining block. A positioning assembly having sealing gaskets fit thereto includes a locking pin extending through a positioning member and formed with a recess. In setting the positioning assembly into the base, the positioning member compresses and expels internal air of the first chamber to the outside through the discharge channel in a soundless manner to form a vacuum condition. The locking pin drives the locking assembly to displace until the recess and a closure hole are fixed relative to each other so as to have the locking assembly closes the vacuum relief channel. A gap is provided between the closure hole and the recess to provide an effect of cushioning.

  • Patent number: 10028844
Abstract: The hydraulic ankle joint includes a main member having a fluid supply chamber storing a hydraulic fluid, a first pressure regulating chamber, a second pressure regulating chamber, and a space connecting the chambers. The space houses an axle element rotatably joined to the main member. The main member is rotatably mounted on a U-shaped hinge seat. An extension piece is extended radially from the circumference of the axle element. A fluid block penetrates through the main member and into the space. The extension piece and the fluid block jointly partition the space into a front chamber and a back chamber. The first and second pressure regulating chambers adjust the back and front chambers' pressure so that impact from walking may be effectively buffered. The fluid supply chamber automatically refills hydraulic fluid into the front and back chambers so as to reduce user maintenance overhead.

  • Patent number: 9005309
Abstract: A four-link hydraulic buffer knee joint assembly which includes a hydraulic center axle configured at a center hole of a four-link hydraulic main body and utilizes a spring force and an oil-filling piston to achieve the auto-filling of hydraulic oil. The hydraulic center axle is able to utilize adjustable knobs provided on an outer side of the center axle to adjust the bending speed and the spring-back recovery speed. The setting location of the hydraulic center axle differs from the one of conventional joint assembly such that the overall size of the knee joint assembly is reduced while the joint assembly includes the functions of adjustable hydraulic bending and stretching speeds and buffering for the hydraulic head to return to its horizontal state. The four-link hydraulic main body comprises a setting changeable controlling axle for achieving the function of the buffered safety brake against the ground.

  • Patent number: 8951304
Abstract: A vacuum suction structure of ankle joint and support barrel of artificial limb is connected, to the top thereof, with an artificial limb and the support barrel and is connected, to the bottom thereof, with an artificial foot. An ankle pressure cylinder forms therein an air chamber receiving therein an air chamber piston that forms therein a hydraulic fluid compartment. A hydraulic fluid supplementing cylinder and a one-way hydraulic fluid cylinder are arranged at one side of the ankle pressure cylinder and are connected via a connection piping system to the hydraulic fluid compartment. The one-way hydraulic fluid cylinder receives therein a push rod and the hydraulic fluid cylinder piston. When the structure is put into operation to allow a user to step forwards, the ankle pressure cylinder can provide both functions of hydraulic cushioning and air pressure regulation.

  • Publication number: 20120253476
Abstract: A four-bar-linkage brake-included knee joint includes a knee carriage, first and second links rotatably coupled to the carriage, and a clamp member coupled to a joint body. The clamp member forms a through hole that receives an axle to couple the second links. A compression block is received in a rear portion of the joint body and is set in engagement with a back side of the clamp member. The clamp member forms a gap extending from the through hole of the clamp member to a bottom of the clamp member. When a heel of a prosthesis that includes the knee joint is put on the ground, a reaction force is induced in the prosthesis that causes the compression block to directly depress the clamp member thereby reducing the gap to have the clamp member tightly clamping the axle and thus preventing the axle from further rotation.

  • Publication number: 20090143869
Abstract: An anti-shock artificial knee joint includes a pivot stop block forming a first pivot hole rotatably receiving therein a first pivot for bending the knee joint and a second pivot hole rotatably receiving a second pivot. A gap extending from the first pivot hole so that when the pivot stop block is subjected to an external force induced in the process of walking, the gap is reduced to secure the first pivot from rotation whereby the pivot stop block rotates about the second pivot to cause the pivot stop block to engage spring-biased pistons to thereby absorb the external force or the impact caused by the external force. The spring-biased pistons are provided with set screws to adjust the cushioning effect provided by the spring-biased pistons.
