Abstract: A layer stack including a first bonding dielectric material layer, a dielectric metal oxide layer, and a second bonding dielectric material layer is formed over a top surface of a substrate including a substrate semiconductor layer. A conductive material layer is formed by depositing a conductive material over the second bonding dielectric material layer. The substrate semiconductor layer is thinned by removing portions of the substrate semiconductor layer that are distal from the layer stack, whereby a remaining portion of the substrate semiconductor layer includes a top semiconductor layer. A semiconductor device may be formed on the top semiconductor layer.

Abstract: An integrated circuit (IC) device comprises a high voltage semiconductor device (HVSD) on a frontside of a semiconductor body and further comprises an electrode on a backside of the semiconductor body opposite the frontside. The HVSD may, for example, be a transistor or some other suitable type of semiconductor device. The electrode has one or more gaps directly beneath the HVSD. The one or more gaps enhance the effectiveness of the electrode for improving the breakdown voltage of the HVSD.

Abstract: A joint orthosis includes upper and lower members, and a joint mechanism. The joint mechanism includes a shielding cover and at least one of modular front and rear inserts. Each of the modular front and rear inserts is disposed to limit movement of a joint of a human body in a flexion/extension direction. The shielding cover is removably attached to a mounting frame of the joint mechanism and is configured to conceal and prevent access to the at least one or the modular front and rear inserts.

Abstract: A hinge for an orthopedic brace includes: a pivot shaft; a lower leg plate pivoted to the pivot shaft; an upper leg plate; a catch plate having a toothed peripheral edge; and two position adjusting units, each of which includes a rotatable limiting seat, a limiting pin, and a slider body. The rotatable limiting seat defines a housing chamber therein, and is formed with a wall slot. The slider body is slidably disposed in the housing chamber. The limiting pin extends from the slider body through the wall slot for engaging and disengaging the toothed peripheral edge. The catch plate is formed with a guiding groove. The rotatable limiting seat has a tongue protruding into the guiding groove.
