Abstract: A function selection circuit for multi-function timepiece which has a timekeeping circuit, a display device to display output data from the timekeeping circuit, and a function circuit to provide a plurality of functions which can be selected by an external control member in a predetermined sequence. The function selection circuit has a circuit means controlled by the external control member to provide an output to enable a selection of time correction mode from said plurality of functions in the predetermined sequence.

Abstract: A mechanical vibrator for a timepiece in which a ceramic supporting substrate is rigidly secured to an inner wall of an evacuated housing. The supporting substrate is formed at its one surface with a pair of conducting metal layers serving as leads and at its other surface with a conducting metal layer over a substantially large area. A piezoelectric vibrating element having exciting electrodes is placed on the ceramic supporting substrate and rigidly connected thereto such that the electrodes of the piezoelectric vibrating element are electrically connected to the conducting metal layers formed on the one surface of the ceramic supporting substrate. The conducting metal layers are in turn connected to projecting leads extending outwardly of the evacuated housing and adapted to be connected to a printed circuit of the timepiece.

Abstract: The invention provides an advance alarm means incorporated with an electronic watch driven by a battery and fitted with a digital time display means.There is provided a detector sensing an abrupt voltage drop at the source battery. A selector represents its two states corresponding to the normal operating condition of the battery and to the voltage dropped condition thereof, respectively. This selector controls the feed of two different signal series to at least one electrically illuminatable elements of the digital time display means, depending upon the state of the selector and for providing an advance alarm before occurrence of an unacceptable voltage drop in the source battery.
