  • Patent number: 7747156
Abstract: A digital single-lens reflex camera includes a first mirror for reflecting part of a light beam coming from a subject through a photographing optical system and transmitting the remaining light beam. The reflected light beam is used for detecting the focus state of an imaging light beam, and the transmitted light beam is used for performing live view display. For example, the first mirror can be configured as a movable mirror in the digital single-lens reflex camera. This enables continuous live view display using the transmitted light beam on condition that the movable mirror is down while detecting the focus state using the reflected light beam. In addition, phase-contrast AF can be adopted for detecting the focus state.

  • Patent number: 7165826
Abstract: In discharge recovery processing, a continuous sheet 23 is moved from a facing position facing a head portion 21 to a first position (in the down direction in the drawing) as an evacuating position in the discharge recovery processing, thereafter, a discharge recovery processing unit 22 in the standby mode at a second position (in the up direction in the drawing) different from the facing position is moved to the facing position, and the discharge recovery processing is performed. In the discharge recovery processing, the head unit 21 is not moved and therefore the preferable positional reproducibility is obtained after ending the discharge recovery processing.

  • Patent number: 6902254
Abstract: A printer system includes a host computer, K, C, M, and Y printer elements for four colors, a paper feeding section, and a head cleaning section. The printer elements each include a head controller and print head groups. The head controllers are connected to the host computer via SCSI interfaces in a daisy chain. When printing, the host computer transfers information, such as an image-printing region, image-printing data, to the head controllers via the SCSI interfaces, thereby executing image printing. The printer system can control a large number of print heads with a simple configuration and also can perform high-accuracy image printing.

  • Publication number: 20040104961
Abstract: A recovery device for an ink jet printer includes a recovery unit having a wiper and a cap. When performing recovery processing, the recovery unit is inserted into a lower portion of a print head. The wiper moves along the +Y direction above the cap in a retreated state, and wipes the ink discharge surface of the print head. Also, in a state where the wiper is retreated outside the moving locus of the cap, the cap moves upward and caps the ink discharge surface of the print head. In this capping state, discharging and sucking of ink are performed for cleaning. This recovery device for an ink jet printer has a simple structure, and allows the suction of discharged ink during recovery processing to be efficiently performed. Furthermore, the present recovery device has a smaller space required for placement, thereby enabling the size-reduction of a printer apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6561651
Abstract: A multiple display apparatus for displaying an image with projection of a plurality of images from a plurality of image projecting means 10p, 10q onto a screen is disclosed. The plurality of image projecting means 10p, 10q are disposed such that their images are projected substantially from one point onto the screen 20. Thus it is possible to realize superior display quality without pronounced display in any overlap part.

  • Publication number: 20020011968
Abstract: A multi-display apparatus comprises a screen, and a plurality of projectors arranged in at least two columns horizontally and at least two rows vertically. Optical axes of the plurality of projectors corresponding to each column are placed on the same plane and longitudinal angles &thgr;1 and &thgr;2 of the optical paths are made difference as least between two rows. Employing this arrangement enables the plurality of projectors corresponding to respective rows and columns to be positioned as if they form a single light source, prevents the problem of mutual interference between the projection optical paths caused when a given projector enters the projection optical paths of the projectors of each row or column when reflecting mirrors are used, and enables a compact multi-display apparatus to be made.
