    Abstract: A program and apparatus which draw and display images of graphical objects, enabling their smooth and continuous transition from visible state to invisible state. For each given object, its distance from the current eye point is calculated for comparison with a predetermined semi-transparent distance, as well as with a predetermined invisible distance which is longer than the semi-transparent distance. The object is selected as a visible object that is to be subjected to image drawing operations if the above comparison has revealed that the calculated distance is shorter than the invisible distance. An image of the visible object is drawn in opaque mode if the distance is shorter than the semi-transparent distance, or in semi-transparent mode if the distance is longer than the semi-transparent distance. The resultant image is then displayed on a monitor screen.

    Abstract: A computer program and apparatus for displaying an image of graphical objects viewed from a certain eye point, which permit the user to select either a fixed up direction or a variable up direction when manipulating the eye point location. The program first determines which movement mode to use, according to a given user action. It then calculates the eye point coordinates and a line-of-sight vector according to the user action and the determined movement mode. When the mode is fixed up-direction mode, the up direction of the projection plane is set to a predefined direction. When it is variable up-direction mode, some predetermined rules are applied to determine the up direction. Given objects are perspective-projected on the projection plane being oriented in the determined up direction, based on the calculated eye point coordinates and line-of-sight vector. The resulting object image is then displayed on a monitor screen.

    Abstract: There are provided a three-dimensional model display program and a three-dimensional model display apparatus, which enable seamless switching between two-point perspective projection and three-point perspective projection. A line-of-sight vector indicative of a direction of viewing an inside of a virtual three-dimensional space from a viewpoint 3 is determined in response to an operation input. A projection condition is determined that two-point perspective projection is selected when the line-of-sight vector is close to a horizontal one and that a degree of influence of three-point perspective projection on two-point perspective projection increases with an increase in inclination of the line-of-sight vector with respect to a horizontal direction. An image is generated by perspectively projecting the three-dimensional model 2 according to the determined projection condition, and then the generated image is displayed.

    Abstract: A process for regenerating unreacted vinyl chloride monomers is provided which has the step of compressing by means of an compressor an unreacted vinyl chloride monomer recovered from a process of vinyl chloride polymer production; compressing the same in contact with a lubricating oil fed into the compressor. In this process, the lubricating oil contains a polymerization inhibitor. Hence, even when this lubricating oil is circulated and reused as a lubricating oil after its separation from the unreacted vinyl chloride monomer, any vinyl chloride monomer remaining in the lubricating oil can effectively be kept from polymerizing in lubricating-oil circulation lines.

If any change has arisen in the editing data, only change data are transmitted to a display data memory unit, and the editing data and the display data are concurrently processed.
