  • Publication number: 20240129414
Abstract: An input device includes a touch panel, a touch button, a first measurement device, a second measurement device, a first detection device that detects a touch position of an operating body on the touch panel, based on a difference between the electrostatic capacitance measured by the first measurement device and a panel baseline value, a second detection device that detects a touch operation on the touch button, based on a difference between the electrostatic capacitance measured by the second measurement device and a button baseline value, an error decision device that decides that the touch operation is an error, when the touch operation detected by the second detection device satisfies a predetermined condition, and a controller that sets the button baseline value to an initial value, when the error decision device has identified an error, and sets the panel baseline value to an initial value, when the error decision device has not identified an error.

  • Patent number: 11036336
Abstract: A display input device has a touch screen, which includes a touch panel for accepting a touch operation, and a control portion. The control portion detects contact position on the touch panel with a contact body, contact size on the touch panel with the contact body, and contact pressure on the touch panel with the contact body, judges whether calibration is necessary based on the contact position, contact size, and contact pressure, and performs calibration when it is judged that calibration is necessary.

  • Patent number: 10606527
Abstract: An image forming apparatus has an operation portion, an operation sensing portion, a human detecting portion, and a sensing period adjusting portion. The operation portion accepts operation by a user. The operation sensing portion senses operation on the operation portion. The human detecting portion detects the presence of a human body within a previously set detection distance. The sensing period adjusting portion adjusts a operation sensing period of the operation sensing portion based on the detection distance of the human detecting portion.

  • Patent number: 8644722
Abstract: A fixing device is provided with a fixing unit for fixing a toner image; a magnetic flux generator including a switching element for generating a magnetic flux; and a control unit for performing a start-up mode for raising the temperature of the fixing unit to a fixing temperature by the magnetic flux and a steady mode for maintaining the temperature of the fixing unit at the fixing temperature. The control unit turns off the switching element when the temperature of the switching element is equal to or higher than a first reference temperature lower than a destruction temperature during a period of the start-up mode, and turns off the switching element when the temperature of the switching element is equal to or higher than a second reference temperature lower than the destruction temperature and higher than the first reference temperature during a period of the steady mode.

  • Patent number: 7477574
Abstract: A decorative body driving mechanism having a decorative body therein and at least one openable and closable door arranged in front of the decorative body, the mechanism includes a door open and close mechanism and a decorative body operating mechanism. The door open and close mechanism includes a first gear rotatable in both directions with a motor, and a second gear being engaged with the first gear only within a given range to rotate intermittently and open and close the door. The decorative body operating mechanism transmits a driving force of the motor to the decorative body to make the decorative body move. It is possible to open and close the door and operate the decorative body with the single motor, and the door can be opened and closed intermittently by the door open and close mechanism. The decorative body can be worked without transmitting the driving force to the door.
