Patent number: 7616249Abstract: An image sensing device includes a prism unit, image sensing element, fixing member, case member, support member, and a switching mechanism. The prism unit has at least two reflecting surfaces each having a free-form surface shape. The support member movably supports the prism unit within a predetermined movable range along the direction crossing light-receiving surface of the image sensing element. The switching mechanism selectively moves the prism unit to the first position at which the prism unit abuts against the fixing member or the second position at which the prism unit abuts against the case member in synchronism with the support member.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2004Date of Patent: November 10, 2009Assignee: Olympus CorporationInventors: Yoshihiro Matsumoto, Fuminori Ueno, Yasuo Nakajoh

Publication number: 20050094020Abstract: An image sensing device includes a prism unit, image sensing element, and adjustment mechanism. The prism unit has at least two reflecting surfaces each having a free-form surface shape. The image sensing element converts an image formed on the imaging plane of the prism unit into an electrical signal. The adjustment mechanism has an adjustment member and a receiving portion. The adjustment member can move in a plane parallel to the light-receiving surface of the image sensing element. The receiving portion is arranged on the prism unit and abuts against the adjustment member. The receiving portion finely adjusts a position of the prism unit in a direction perpendicular to the light-receiving surface of the image sensing element.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 29, 2004Publication date: May 5, 2005Inventors: Yoshinori Matsumoto, Fuminori Ueno, Yasuo Nakajoh

Patent number: 6680802Abstract: A one-eye viewing type head-mounted image display device (1) that is compact and comfortably wearable consists mainly of a viewer (2) and an elastic member (38). The viewer includes an LCD (13), a main prism (32), a see-through prism (33), a frame (10), and a microphone (18). The main prism conducts an image, which is displayed on the LCD, to make the image viewable with either the user's right eye or left eye. The see-through prism is bonded to the main prism, transmits extraneously light, and conducts the light to a users eye. The frame bears the LCD at a predetermined position relative to the prisms. The microphone is mounted in the frame. The elastic member includes a nose rest (38a) which supports the viewer so that the viewer will be located at a predetermined position in front of the user's eye.Type: GrantFiled: January 28, 2002Date of Patent: January 20, 2004Assignee: Olympus Optical Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hirotoshi Ichikawa, Ryotaro Hanayama, Fuminori Ueno

Patent number: 6170750Abstract: A reading aid member is formed by fixedly overlaying on a hard substrate a scan guiding plate-like member having substantially the same shape as that of the hard substrate with use of adhesive or the like. The hard substrate has a code pattern recording face on one side, on which two-dimensional code patterns (dot code patterns) are printed so as to be optically read. The scan guiding plate-like member has windows formed at positions corresponding to the printed positions of the code patterns. In reading a code pattern, the distal end portion of a pen-like reading apparatus is positioned in a window. By manually moving the reading apparatus along the window, the reading apparatus can be moved without meandering on the code pattern.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 1998Date of Patent: January 9, 2001Assignee: Olympus Optical Co., Ltd.Inventor: Fuminori Ueno

Patent number: 5978602Abstract: A photographic lens unit having a stepping motor to drive a cam ring that has a cam portion for driving a counter-cam portion of a lens frame for automatic focus of photographic lenses, and projections for driving a diaphragm. The cam ring is rotated for moving the counter-cam portion in an optical-axis direction with the counter-cam portion in contact with the cam portion. Automatic focus of the photographic lenses and photometry are carried out. Thereafter, the cam ring is further rotated so that the projection can bring the diaphragm to an aperture-narrowing state. The cam ring is then rotated reversely for moving the photographic lenses to an automatic focus position. Photographic operations are then carried out. After photography is completed, the diaphragm is reset by moving the counter-cam portion. The photographic lens unit is thus brought to a ready state for subsequent photography.Type: GrantFiled: August 7, 1997Date of Patent: November 2, 1999Assignee: Olympus Optical Co., Inc.Inventors: Toshiyuki Toyofuku, Yasuo Isashi, Fuminori Ueno, Shigeo Hayashi

Patent number: 5253004Abstract: A control device for a camera includes a single motor, a mechanism for controlling a built-in electronic flash, a mechanism for controlling a mirror, a mechanism for controlling a shutter, and a connecting mechanism that connects the single motor to those control mechanisms. The connecting mechanism operates the mirror control mechanism and the shutter charge mechanism when the motor is rotated in a forward direction, and causes the flash control mechanism to switch the electronic flash to a projected position when the motor is rotated in a reverse direction.Type: GrantFiled: November 26, 1991Date of Patent: October 12, 1993Assignee: Asahi Kogaku Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Junji Umetsu, Fuminori Ueno

Patent number: 5134433Abstract: A camera having a strobe incorporated therein including a strobe light emitter which moves between a retracted position in which the light emitter is retracted in a camera body and an operative position in which the light emitter emits strobe light. An emission mode selecting device selectively sets an automatic light emission mode, in which the strobe light emitter emits strobe light upon exposure, when the brightness of an object to be taken is below a predetermined value. A compulsive light emission mode is provided, in which the light emitter compulsively emits the stobe light upon exposure, regardless of the object brightness. A light emitter moving and controlling device moves the light emitter to a waiting position, located between the retracted position and the operative position, and to the operative position when the automatic light emission mode and the compulsive emission mode are selected, respectively.Type: GrantFiled: July 5, 1991Date of Patent: July 28, 1992Assignee: Asahi Kogaku Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Satoshi Takami, Fuminori Ueno

Patent number: 4999661Abstract: A function selective camera having a CCD distance measuring sensor comprising a code table containing optical codes expressing a plurality of selective and changeable functional conditions and/or data of the camera. The code table is provided separately from the camera. A function selecting means converts a code formed on the code table into a predetermined optical code which can be decoded by the CCD distance measuring sensor. Control means provided on a camera body enables a photographer to select or change the functional conditions of the camera on the basis of the code read by the CCD distance measuring sensor.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 1989Date of Patent: March 12, 1991Assignee: Asahi Kogaku Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Fuminori Ueno, Yutaka Ohsawa
