Patent number: 7655851Abstract: A tuning device has a sound collecting unit having an input section for receiving a sound or vibration signal produced by a musical instrument and outputting a sound signal, and a wireless communication section for converting the sound signal into a wireless signal and transmitting the wireless signal to the outside. A computation display unit has a receiving section for receiving the wireless signal transmitted from the sound collecting unit and converting the wireless signal into a sound signal, a computing section that computes pitch information based on the sound signal, computes an amount of difference between the pitch information and reference pitch information corresponding to a reference sound name, and converts the computation result into a control signal for display, and a display section for acquiring the control signal and displaying information concerning the amount of difference computed by the computing section.Type: GrantFiled: October 14, 2005Date of Patent: February 2, 2010Assignee: Seiko Instruments Inc.Inventor: Fumiyoshi Nagakura

Publication number: 20090235807Abstract: Provide a tuner mounting device which does not scratch an instrument and which provides a satisfactory sensitivity to a vibration generated from the instrument. A mounting base portion for fixing a tuner main body to a part of the instrument is fixed to the instrument on a constant basis by a hook-and-loop fastener, with a structure to be fitted into the mounting base portion being provided on a lower surface of a tuner main body containing a vibration sensor for detecting vibration generated through operation of the instrument. The mounting base portion has a power source portion and a power supply contact, with the structure having an electrical contact corresponding to the power supply contact provided on the mounting base portion.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 11, 2009Publication date: September 24, 2009Inventors: Fumiyoshi Nagakura, Hirokazu Serita, Akiko Asahata, Tomotada Ishii

Patent number: 7405373Abstract: The switch structure according to the present invention is obtained by interposing an elastic connection member between the circuit board provided with electrodes and a push switch fixed to a case of an electronic device. The elastic connection member has a structure in which conductive layers and insulation layers are alternately laminated. The conductive layers of a first lamination layer surface on which the conductive layers and the insulation layers of the elastic connection member are exposed abut against the electrodes so that the electric connections therebetween are established. The push switch is pushed down, and a contact portion thereof abuts against the plurality of conductive layers on a second lamination layer surface, whereby the electrodes are in a conductive state. Even if the push switch is pushed strongly, the elastic connection member deforms to absorb the force. As a result, the switch structure which hardly breaks is obtained.Type: GrantFiled: May 21, 2007Date of Patent: July 29, 2008Assignee: Seiko Instruments Inc.Inventors: Hiroyuki Konishi, Hisashi Fujieda, Fumiyoshi Nagakura, Akiko Asahata, Masaji Kondo, Shigeki Yagi

Patent number: 7081577Abstract: An electronic metronome has a casing including a display portion for displaying a numerical value of a tempo, a sound emitting device for emitting a sound representing the tempo, a vibration device for generating a vibration representing the tempo, and a vibration level adjusting device for adjusting the stregth of the vibratrion. The vibration is used for notifying a tempo to a user, whereby the user can master a good sense of tempo efficiently without being affected by the surrounding environment. The electronic metronome prevents the phenomenon that if a user performs a musical piece specified with a slow tempo immediately after performing a musical piece specified with a fast tempo, the user may perform the piece at a faster tempo than the originally intended slow tempo.Type: GrantFiled: May 27, 2004Date of Patent: July 25, 2006Assignee: Seiko Instruments Inc.Inventor: Fumiyoshi Nagakura
