  • Publication number: 20090023826
Abstract: The present invention provides a crosslinked polyolefin resin foam which is excellent in heat resistance, and also can be secondarily processed into a complicated shape. The crosslinked polyolefin resin foam includes a polyolefin resin composition containing 20 to 50% by weight of a polypropylene-based resin (A) which shows at least one endothermic peak measured by differential scanning calorimeter at a temperature of 160° C. or higher, 20 to 50% by weight of a polypropylene-based resin (B) which shows an endothermic peak measured by differential scanning calorimeter at a temperature of lower than 160° C., and 20 to 40% by weight of a polyethylene-based resin (c), and can be obtained by forming the polyolefin resin composition into an optional form and foaming and crosslinking the resin.

  • Patent number: 7265160
Abstract: The foam sheet of the present invention is biodegradable, can be recycled, has good processability, is lightweight, exhibits excellent appearance, has practically satisfactory heat resistance and is more acceptable to the environment. There is provided a crosslinked biodegradable resin continuous foam sheet comprising biodegradable resin, and has an expansion rate of about 1.5 to about 50 and a gel fraction of about 3% or more. There is further provided a method for producing the foam sheet comprising the steps of: (1) preparing a sheet from a resin composition comprising a biodegradable resin, a thermal decomposable blowing agent, and a crosslinking promoter; (2) irradiating the resulting sheet with an ionizing radiation to crosslink the resin composition; and (3) subjecting the crosslinked sheet to heat treatment to continuously prepare a crosslinked foam sheet.

  • Patent number: 6429234
Abstract: The object is to obtain a foam, an interior material, and a molded article destined for an interior automotive or other vehicular material which can inhibit the formation of crystals in the fogging test. The present invention is a foam, an interior material and a molded article destined for an interior vehicular material, comprising a fogging inhibitor, to keep the amount of the precipitate detected by the fogging test at 0.8 mg or less. The foam and the interior material obtained according to the present invention can be suitably used as a dash board in front of the driver's seat, an interior material at the door and as an interior material of the ceiling in an automobile.

  • Patent number: 6143804
Abstract: A polyolefinic resin is combined with a (meth)acrylic polyfunctional monomer compound having an aromatic ring, an alicyclic ring or a heterocyclic ring nearly in the center of its chemical formula, and a pyrolyzable chemical foaming agent to give a curable and foamable polyolefinic resin composition. The composition is shaped into a sheet, then cured and foamed into a sheet foam. The cured foam of polyolefinic resin has a curing degree of from 10 to 70%, and has the advantages of good heat resistance, good workability and shapability, and good pressure resistance.
