  • Publication number: 20060162918
Abstract: The evaporator includes the upper side and lower header members 10 and 50 disposed at the upper and lower end of the core 1. One end of each tube 6 constituting the upstream-side tube group P1 is connected to the inlet-side tank 11, while the other end to the lower header member 50. One end of each tube 7 constituting the downstream-side tube group P2 is connected to the outlet-side tank 12, while the other end to the lower header member 50. The refrigerant flowed into the inlet-side tank 11 is introduced into the outlet-side tank 12 by passing through the upstream-side tube group P1, the lower header member 50 and the downstream-side tube group P2, so that the refrigerant evaporates by exchanging heat with ambient air A. Accordingly, it improves the heat exchange performance and decreases the thickness.

  • Patent number: 6973804
Abstract: This duplex-type heat exchanger is adapted to a vapor compression type refrigeration cycle in which a condensed refrigerant is decompressed and then evaporated. This duplex-type heat exchanger is integrally equipped with a subcooler S in which the condensed refrigerant exchanges heat with the ambient air A to be subcooled and an evaporator E in which the decompressed refrigerant exchanges heat with the ambient air A to be evaporated. Heat exchange is performed between the refrigerant passing through the subcooler S and the refrigerant passing through the evaporator E, to thereby cool the refrigerant in the subcooler S and heat the refrigerant in the evaporator E. Accordingly, according to this heat exchanger, a high refrigeration effect can be obtained while avoiding the pressure rise of the refrigerant.

  • Publication number: 20050269066
Abstract: The invention relates to heat exchangers for use in motor vehicles or for industrial use, for example, to heat exchangers for use as evaporators, condensers, oil coolers, intercoolers, heater cores, etc. The invention provides a heat exchanger comprising pairs of plates with each plate of the pair having formed on one side thereof a peripheral ridge, central ridge and channel dividing U-shaped ridges which are formed by forging or cutting. Each pair of plates are fitted together and joined, with channel recesses thereof opposed to each other to form a flat tube and a plurality of U-shaped divided fluid passageways in a U-shaped fluid channel inside the tube. Each pair of adjacent flat tubes are joined by spectacle-shaped header members interposed between the upper ends of the tubes and each comprising a front and a rear fluid passing tube portion and a connecting portion therebetween to provide a front and a rear header in communication with the upper ends of the flat tubes.

  • Publication number: 20050216688
Abstract: A copy control apparatus implements initial copies which copy data of the storage apparatus of a copy source to the storage apparatus of a copy destination, and, in the control of keeping the data of the copy source and that of copy destination equivalent, decreases the multiplicity in accordance with the increase of the number of write requests in which the updating of the data of the copy source is not yet reflected to the data of the copy destination, and implements a plurality of initial copies within the decreased range of multiplicity.

  • Patent number: 6785791
Abstract: A processing method for copying between storage device data regions and a memory system are provided to allow immediate access in a state of having completed copying in response to a copy instruction, even when actual data is being copied in a remote system, thus preventing a decrease in the performance of the access to the copy source during copying. Processes include copying data in a data region of a copy source to an intermediate media data region for each prescribed block unit in response to a copy instruction, as well as copying the data copied to the intermediate media data region to a copy destination data region. Processes also include interrupting copying and processing an access when there is an external access for a block of the copy source or the copy destination data region during the copy processing.

  • Publication number: 20040031598
Abstract: In a heat exchanger comprising a hollow header (2) and a plurality of heat exchanging tubes (1) which are in fluid communication with the header (1), the cross-sectional shape of the header (2) is formed into an angular cross-sectional shape including a rectangular cross-sectional shape and a square cross-sectional shape. Furthermore, the inner space of the header (2) is divided into a plurality of collecting chambers (13) by header-partitioning walls (12) provided in the header (2), and that the inner surface (14) of the tube-non-connecting-side wall in the collecting chamber (13) is formed into a curved surface. As a result, the inner volume of the header (2) can be reduced greatly as compared with that of the conventional header while securing sufficient pressure resistance and lightweight. Furthermore, the heat exchanger can be further miniaturized and the amount of the refrigerant to be used can be reduced.
