  • Patent number: 7898244
Abstract: Sensor circuits including an oscillator circuit.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 29, 2007

  • Patent number: 7816911
Abstract: A variable inductance position sensor is described. The sensor includes a housing that is typically cylindrical in shape. The housing includes an open end and a closed end forming a cavity therein. A coil support member is affixed at one end to the closed end of the housing, or the coil support member may itself seal the housing at the closed end. The coil support member includes a coil assembly that includes a coil both of which are rigidly affixed to the coil support member. In this way, the coil is maintained in a fixed and predetermined orientation with respect to the housing. The combination of housing, coil support member and coil assembly and the coil forms an inner assembly. The coil support member includes a bore that forms a central annular region and the coil support member then forms an outer annular region as well. In addition, the housing may also include a passageway to allow the passage of lead wires from the coil assembly to the exterior of the sensor.

  • Patent number: 6371068
Abstract: A modified air intake mechanism for an internal combustion engine. The air intake mechanism includes an air passageway that contains a fixed vane located in a plane that is parallel to the air flow within the passageway. More specifically, the vane is stationary and is located in the air horn or the air intake passageway of the cylinder head.

  • Patent number: 5513049
Abstract: A day-night mirror for a vehicle has a first sheet of transparent material, a second sheet adjacent and parallel to the first sheet, the second sheet having a first light reflective surface facing the first sheet. The first and second sheets are joined along a predetermined peripheral region by a first wall of resilient material, and a second wall of flexible material joins the first and second sheets along opposed edge regions. The sheets and walls define a chamber containing a predetermined volume of translucent liquid. A third sheet is positioned within the chamber to move between an active position, with the third sheet between the first and second sheets, and an inactive position, with the third sheet removed from between the first and second sheets. The third sheet, in active position, has a second light reflective surface facing the first sheet, the second light reflective surface differing in light reflectivity from the first light reflective surface.

  • Patent number: 5028120
Abstract: A day-night mirror assembly for a motor vehicle having a housing with a front opening, a first sheet of transparent material at the opening and second sheet which is located behind the first sheet and which has a first light reflective surface which faces the opening. A third sheet having a second light reflecting surface which differs in light reflectivity from the first light reflective surface is located within the housing for movement between an inactive position to an active position in which the third sheet is located between the first and second sheets and a second light reflective surface faces the opening in the housing. The third sheet is selectively positioned in either the active position or the inactive position by means of an actuator which is manually operated from outside of the housing.
