    Abstract: A pulley and method of making same are provided wherein such pulley has a plurality of annular grooves for receiving a power transmission belt which has a corresponding plurality of belt elements. The pulley comprises a pair of side flanges, each having a belt element supporting side wall and at least one annular rib between the flanges. Such rib has belt element supporting side walls and side flanges which are separate substantially identical parts that are interchangeable on the pulley from side to side. The rib is disposed in sandwiched relation between the side flanges, with the flanges and rib being fastened together to define a pulley.
