Abstract: Solid waste management has been primarily based on collection of solid waste and placing most of it in a landfill. Present invention eliminates a need for large landfills by integrating collection and transportation of solid waste with separation, treatment, processing, recovery, and reuse of solid waste prior to landfill application. Since untreated organic waste is eliminated or significantly reduced from solid waste stream, present invention eliminates a need for daily cover and working front of landfills resulting in elimination of extensive leachate and gas management systems and associated potential groundwater and air pollution problems.

Abstract: The present invention provides adjustable vessel draft by controlling buoyancy and making navigation possible in both shallow and deep waters without changing the total vessel weight or its given payload. The present invention also provides necessary deep water seakeeping characteristics and dynamic stability of the vessel by using elastic secondary main hull or adjustable vertical hulls for safe operations and navigation in both shallow and deep waters for all purposes. The present invention also provides a vessel self rescue system which can also be used as a temporary apparatus of navigation in shallow waters.

Abstract: Present invention provides an apparatus for measuring directional rainfall or snow incorporating variables of a drainage basin including slope of topography and vertical barriers and direction of wind vector all of which are calibrated to the drainage basin. The apparatus includes an angular collection unit having a main angle and a secondary angle and a vertical capture plate adjusted at the height representative of vertical and a positioning unit which positions the angular collection unit in the direction of wind. Using the apparatus, rainfall or snowfall is measured as a function of basin topography and wind conditions eliminating a large number of rainfall and snowfall gauges for averaging purposes to obtain more representative and accurate measurements.

Abstract: The present invention improves both the quality and the flow of air delivered by a ceiling fan. Ceiling fans provide limited indoor air flow, but do not function as air quality improvement apparatus. The present invention provides all ceiling fans with an ability to increase indoor air quality where they operate. One or a combination of a physical/chemical filter, an electrostatic particulate matter remover, a heating unit, and a secondary multidirectional fan provide consumers with air quality improvement options for ceiling fans to fulfill their specific needs for a given area.

Abstract: The present invention provides manageable buoyancy and adjustable vessel draft which makes navigation possible in both shallow and deep waters without changing the total vessel weight or its given payload. The seakeeping characteristics and dynamic stability of the vessel are also managed by changing the shape of the buoyancy and by controlling corresponding wet vertical depth necessary for safe operations and navigation in both shallow and deep waters for all purposes. The ability to operate and navigate in both shallow and deep waters makes coastal boarding and unloading possible in shallow waters.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for providing either AC mains or DC power for an electrically powered tool having a motor designed to be powered by a removable battery pack which fits into a recess in the tool. The apparatus includes a power block capable of being powered either by AC mains or DC power. The power block includes an AC to DC convertor, a voltage input selector, a DC to DC convertor, an auto voltage selector, and a solid state current monitor which automatically sets the voltage and current to be delivered to the tool motor at the voltage and current required to produce the tool motor's full rated driving torque.
