  • Patent number: 8166172
Abstract: A method includes receiving at least one performance parameters from a customer premises equipment at a controller. The method includes storing the at least one performance parameter for the customer premises equipment in a line table. The method includes determining a difference between each performance parameter and a corresponding performance standard for each performance parameter entry in the line table. The method includes adjusting a customer profile for the customer premises equipment when at least one difference indicates a violation. The method also includes removing from the line table each performance parameter entry associated with the at least one difference that indicates the violation.

  • Patent number: 7930399
Abstract: A method includes monitoring, using a customer profile monitor at a server, a customer performance parameter of customer premises equipment. The customer premises equipment includes a customer profile and is located remote from the server. The customer performance parameter is compared to a customer specific performance standard to determine a difference. The customer profile of the customer premises equipment is adjusted automatically by the server.

  • Patent number: 7620154
Abstract: An equivalent working length (EWL) determinative system (11) for use in a digital subscriber line (DSL) telecommunication network (10) is provided. The EWL system (11) includes a DSL circuit (32) having a customer site (14) with customer premises equipment (30). The customer premises equipment (30) receives and transmits communication signals and generates a first attenuation signal in response to the communication signals. A remote terminal (20) forms a loop (31) with the customer site (14) and has a loop length. The remote terminal (20) includes a remote terminal transceiver (40) that is in communication with the customer premises equipment (30). A main controller (37) is electrically coupled to the customer premises equipment (30) and determines an EWL of the loop (31) in response to the first attenuation signal. A method of performing the same is also provided.

  • Patent number: 7362713
Abstract: A system and method of accessing digital subscriber line data is provided. The system includes a first server having an input to receive a telephone number from a web browser interface and having an output to provide performance analysis data associated with at least one of a plurality of network elements that form a distributed and geographically diverse data communication system. The system also includes a second server including logic to convert telephone numbers to port addresses for network elements of the communication system. The system also includes a plurality of regional servers, each of the plurality of regional servers responsive to the second server and a plurality of network element management systems respectively coupled to each of the plurality of regional servers. The second server includes logic to convert telephone numbers to port addresses for network elements of the communication system.

  • Patent number: 7058122
Abstract: A remote customer profile adaptive operating system (10) for use in a digital subscriber line telecommunication network (12) is provided. The system (10) includes a customer site (16) in communication with a remote terminal (20). The customer site (16) has a customer profile. The remote terminal (20) includes a main controller (32) that has a customer profile monitor (50) that monitors at least one customer performance parameter. A comparator (52) compares the customer performance parameters to at least one associated customer performance standard and generates a customer difference signal. A customer profile adjuster (54) modifies the customer profile remotely in response to the customer difference signal. A method of performing the same is also provided.
