  • Publication number: 20100043494
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of fabricating “open” microfluidic devices by screen printing. The method comprises steps consisting in: a) depositing a mixture of a glass, glass-ceramic or ceramic precursor material and of an organic medium onto said substrate, which is made of a material chosen from glass, glass-ceramic and ceramic, by screen printing in order to form at least one screen-printed feature in a desired pattern, each feature corresponding to a microfluidic device; and b) firing the screen-printed feature(s) at a temperature allowing the precursor material to bond to the substrate by melting. The subject of the invention is also a method of fabricating microfluidic devices that are “closed” by a sheet of glass, glass-ceramic or ceramic.

  • Publication number: 20080038543
Abstract: Glass plate intended to constitute a plate-shaped product provided on at least part of at least one of its faces with a metal coating, the said plate being resistant to coloration due to at least one metal species Mn+ the said metal coating, which species, under the conditions in which the product is manufactured and/or used, would be liable to migrate into the glass from its surface and then undergo reduction to the species M0 responsible for the coloration, characterized in that it includes, at least on the surface and on at least one face sensitive to coloration, a composition capable of limiting or preventing the said migration and/or the said reduction of the one or more Mn+ species.

  • Patent number: 6810688
Abstract: The subject of the invention is a process for treating a glass sheet which consists of a glass composition having a strain point above 540° C. and is intended for producing a display screen, the said process including at least one ion-exchange treatment on at least part of the surface of the glass sheet and a precontraction treatment.
