  • Patent number: 6746412
Abstract: A device for manipulating a stylet unit for positioning a electrode cable in a body cavity has a handle supporting, at a distal portion thereof, a rotatable bracket member. A slide member carrying a screw for fixation of a proximal contact element of the electrode cable is displaceably mounted on the bracket member so as to be adjustable to variations in length of a central lumen of the electrode cable, into which the stylet unit is to be inserted.

  • Patent number: 6709208
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement for a cargo handling system which is arranged for use on board a ship. Long lane dividers, which are in the form of profiles, are so arranged as to be laid out on the deck of a ship along the longitudinal extent of the intended desired cargo lane. Attachment devices matching existing standard openings in the deck and capable of being introduced vertically into these attach the lane dividers to the deck. At least a number of the aforementioned lane dividers exhibit recesses to accommodate locking devices for the purpose of locking a cargo securely to them.

  • Patent number: 6629828
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement in a pump block. The pump block includes a plurality of pump valves each connected to a piston in a piston pump. The pump block also includes an inlet pipe which is common to all of the pump valves. The inlet pipe has a connection to each pump valve. One connection between the inlet pipe and the pump block is fixed and includes a flange fixedly screwed in the pump block, the remaining connections are movable in the longitudinal direction of the inlet pipe. The movable connections each include a flange with over-dimensioned boltholes in which a spacer is placed.

  • Patent number: 6595731
Abstract: An arrangement for locking cargo to a deck on board a ship is described. Lateral dividing profiles, which are arranged on and secured to the deck, and which form loading lanes, have lock accommodating openings to accept rotatable and movable locking devices from lockable loads (trailer supports and cargo cassettes) capable of being parked in the cargo lanes. Present on the loads is a mechanism, which is connected to the locking device for the purpose of locking or releasing the loads, in conjunction with a cargo vehicle, which can be driven between the lanes, is so arranged as to actuate the mechanism when the cargo vehicle passes the mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6497434
Abstract: Method and apparatus for providing a duct arrangement adapted for installation through an opening in a wall (3), preferably of a vehicle. The arrangement includes an elongated ducting element (2) that has a sealing component (9) projecting therefrom on all sides and which is designed to bear against the edges of the opening so that sealing is produced between the two sides of the wall and establishes an installed position. Behind the component (9), when viewed in the direction of ducting, is a flexible section (5), which under loading of a part in front of the said section (5), permits displacement of the said part in relation to its unloaded longitudinal extent. The wall (3), when viewed from its front face in the direction of ducting, has a depression (6) formed all around the opening so that the opening essentially forms the lowest point of the depression (6). This configuration is designed to guide a tip of the ducting element (2) toward and through the opening to the installed position.

  • Patent number: 6406582
Abstract: A method for applying a pattern onto a support for a sign utilizes a foil comprising a pattern layer and a carrier layer with an adhesive layer uniting them. The pattern is cut out in the pattern layer of the foil by using a controlled cutting device, after which the foil is placed on a laminating table in an application device. A traverse is passed in controlled manner over the foil placed on the laminating table, and a self-adhesive transfer film supplied from a roll over and around a rotatably journalled press roll of a press device, is applied under pressure on the foil. The carrier layer and spill of the pattern layer are removed and the pattern parts remaining are brought into contact with the support, with the adhesive layer of the pattern parts now exposed. The press roll is then again passed over the transfer film, pattern parts and support so that the pattern parts are transferred permanently to the support, after which the transfer film is removed from the support.

  • Patent number: 6327502
Abstract: An implantable heart stimulator has a connector for an electrode lead in the form of a self-contained tubular connector, which can be placed as a unit in one-half shell of a stimulator housing, together with a hybrid circuit and a power source. The other half shell of the stimulator housing can then simply be placed over these assembled components and joined thereto by welding, thereby considerably simplifying manufacture and assembly of the stimulator. When an even number of such self-contained connector tubes is employed, the two stimulator housing half shells can be identical.

  • Patent number: 6240623
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a system of manufacturing an electric heater (1) intended for heating foam-molded cushions for e.g. vehicle seats or mattresses, said heater (1) comprising an electric conductor (2) which preferably consists of an insulated or non-insulated metal wire. The method comprises the steps of arranging a plurality of protruding members (10) forming part of a conductor layout structure (9) in a pattern adapted to the configuration of the heater (1), arranging a conveyor (13) which is equipped with a follower (14) along a track (13) which essentially corresponds to the desired configuration of the heater (1) around said protruding member (10), and moving said conveyor (13) while said follower (14) deposits said conductor (2) along said track.

  • Patent number: 6167984
Abstract: A device and a method for achieving sound reduction within a frequency band in a transport system for gaseous medium, the transport system being arranged between an inlet, which is connected to a sound source, and an outlet. The transport system comprises with a plurality of interconnected channel parts (1-7) and exhibits at least one module (8, 9) comprising at least one reflection attenuator (4) with a resistive length (a2, b2) and at least one reactive attenuator (3) with a reactive length (a1, a3, b1, b3). The resistive length is brought to constitute a quarter of a wavelength of the center frequency of the frequency band and the reactive length is brought to constitute a quarter of a wavelength of a frequency between, respectively, the lower and upper limit frequencies of the frequency band.
