  • Patent number: 6969410
Abstract: A device for cleaning textile articles with a densified liquid state treatment gas, comprising a treatment chamber (10), a supply tank (18) for densified treatment gas and an evaporator chamber (36), which spaces are connected to each other by way of suitable tubes to allow pressure balance between the different spaces, filling of the treatment chamber (10) with liquid state treatment gas from the supply tank (18), as well as drainage of liquid state treatment gas from the treatment chamber (10) to the evaporator chamber (36). Compressor means (46) are arranged which are organized partly to achieve essentially complete drainage of gaseous treatment gas from the treatment chamber (10), and partly constitute the driving means during one in the treatment process included distillation phase, where densified treatment gas in the evaporator chamber (36) is gasified and through condenser means (44) conveyed back to the supply tank (18).

  • Patent number: 6658901
Abstract: An indication device for a laundry washing machine, which has a treatment chamber (12) for laundry that can be pressurized in order to treat the laundry with a cleaning agent. The treatment chamber is provided with an opening (13), which in the treatment position is covered by a door (16) fixed to a surrounding housing (11) and is sealed from the housing by means of a sealing arrangement. The sealing arrangement comprises at least two gaskets (19, 20) surrounding the opening and forming an intermediate space (23) that via a channel (24) is arranged to communicate with atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 6550291
Abstract: A safety device for a laundry washing machine or the like where the washing machine comprises a treatment chamber (12) for laundry that is pressurized in order to treat the laundry with a treating agent, for instance, carbon dioxide. The treatment chamber has an inlet opening (13) which during the treatment is covered by a door (16) that is secured to a housing (11) enclosing the chamber by means of a first holder device (35) which is part of a locking means. The locking means also comprises a second holder device (34) which is activated if the first holder device (35) is deactivated and thereby keeps the door (16) in its closed position as long as chamber is pressurized.

  • Patent number: 6502433
Abstract: A drum-shaped container (10; 11) for a laundry washing or drying machine comprises a cylindrical sheet metal envelope (12; 14) and gables (13; 15) also made from sheet metal and fastened to said cylindrical envelope, at least one of said gables being provided with a centrally disposed rotative shaft (16) for the container (10; 11) or with a support (17) for such rotative shaft (16). The sheet metal gable (13; 15) provided with the rotative shaft (16) or the shaft support (17) has a conical shape in the direction towards the in and the cone angle (2&agr;) is chosen so that the stress acting on the sheet metal gable (13; 15) is mainly a compressive stress (&sgr;H). Suitably, the cone angle is equal to or less than 150°, preferably in the range of 140° to 150°.

  • Patent number: 6439003
Abstract: A ball balancing arrangement for a wash drum (14) rotatable about an axis (18) in a laundry washing machine comprises at least one closed annular path (22) which is concentrically disposed with respect to the axis (18), adapted to rotate in synchronism with the wash drum (14) and containing a plurality of moveable ball-shaped balancing bodies (23) which are kept together in groups by a corresponding number of retaining means (34) of a shape so as to keep the ball-shaped balancing bodies (23) in each group (A, B, C) out of contact with one another. Each retainer means (34) is of a design so as to have a negligible weight relative to the weight of the balancing bodies and the surfaces (38, 39, 40, 41) of the retaining means (34) bearing against the balancing bodies (23) have a low friction.
