  • Patent number: 9506238
Abstract: A device for affixing a rail which has a fastening flange. The device includes a retaining plate having a notch and a clamping device. The notch has a front opening, a first edge portion, a second edge portion, and a third edge portion. The second edge portion and the third edge portion face each other. When the rail is inserted into the notch via the fastening flange, the rail penetrates and crosses the retaining plate and protrudes out of the notch through the front opening, the fastening flange is supported on the first edge portion, the clamping device jams between the fastening flange and the second edge portion and presses the fastening flange against the first edge portion, and the third edge portion acts as a stop so as to block the rail from escaping from the notch in a direction parallel to the first edge portion.
