  • Publication number: 20230158147
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to water-soluble formulations containing cannabinoids. In particular, the formulations comprise at least one isolated cannabinoid, cannabinoid oil or cannabinoid resin, and a solubilizing agent of Formula (I), where the group X is a residue of a hydrophobic moiety selected from sterols, tocopherols, and derivatives thereof, and the group Y is a residue of a hydrophilic moiety selected from polyalcohols, polyethers, and derivatives thereof. In preferred embodiments, the cannabinoid comprises cannabidiol (CBD) or ?9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and the hydrophobic moiety is polyoxyethanyl-?-tocopheryl sebacate (TPS). In embodiments, the formulations comprise a carrier oil, such as a medium length triglyceride (MCT), and are dispersed in water in the form of micelles.

  • Publication number: 20230049050
Abstract: The present application relates to compositions corn-sing a bioactive lipophilic compound, an oil and at least one solubilizing agent that is a compound of Formula (I), to emulsions comprising such compositions and to uses thereof. The present application also relates to methods of preparing such emulsions. The methods comprise heating such compositions to form a homogeneous melt and combining the homogeneous melt with water to obtain the emulsion.

  • Publication number: 20210222098
Abstract: A process for preparing a cereal-based beverage, the method comprising: —providing malt or unmalted cereal grains; ˜mashing said malt or unmalted cereal grains to solubalize fermentable sugars therein the mashing comprising: —a first step wherein the malt or unmalted cereal grains are exposed to protease activity and optionally glucanase activity, the first step being carried out in a temperature interval A; —a subsequent second step wherein the malt or unmalted cereal grains are exposed to beta-amylase and alfa-amylase activity carried out in a temperature interval inhibiting the protease activity of the first step; —filtering the mashed malt or unmalted cereal grains to obtain a wort; —fermenting said wort to obtain the malt-based beverage; wherein the process comprises the addition of malt rootlets to the wort, characterised in that said malt rootlets are added to the malt or unmalted cereal grains during the second step of the mashing process at which protease activity is inhibited.

  • Patent number: 7755510
Abstract: A novel vehicular traffic management system that requires no special equipment in any vehicle is disclosed. More specifically, the novel system may be used when approaching a lane closure or lane reduction. The system comprises sequencing signaling devices along the roadway and a central controller. The controller commands the signaling devices to flash (or signal) according to a calculated trajectory. Vehicles traveling along side the signaling devices can pace their speed with cues from the signaling devices. Through this pacing, the system can position the vehicles such that they can merge safely and efficiently. The system can be expanded to merge more than just two lanes. Further refinements to the system include external connections that may include GPS tracking and Internet down/uploading. A feasibility condition/determination can be used with the system to make the system even more robust and efficient.
