  • Patent number: 10225854
Abstract: In an embodiment, there is provided a method for resource allocation to MBMS services for MBSFN transmission in an MBSFN Area in a mobile communication system, said resource allocation including an assessment of a list of MBMS sessions to be scheduled for said MBSFN transmission, a method wherein a Sequence Number SN is used for said assessment, said SN determining the rank of an MBMS session in a sequence of MBMS sessions scheduled by one or more BM-SC(s) for said MBMS services, said rank of said MBMS session in said sequence being used in said assessment to determine a rank of said MBMS session in said list.

  • Publication number: 20160337184
Abstract: In an embodiment, there is provided a method for MBSFN area reconfiguration in a mobile network wherein an MBSFN area is controlled by a set of Multi-cell/multicast Coordination Entities MCEs, the method including performing a MBSFN area reconfiguration procedure, wherein a reconfiguration of the MBSFN area is applied synchronously in the MCEs, at a time referred to as reconfiguration time configured in the MCEs.

  • Publication number: 20100329167
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of counting a total number of mobile stations (114) in a radio access network (100), the method comprising: transmitting a counting request to said mobile stations (114); receiving first connection requests from mobile stations (114) being in idle mode; transmitting in response to said first connection requests a response message to each mobile station (114) in idle mode, the response message instructing each of the mobile stations (114) to terminate transmitting of further connection requests; determining the total number of mobile stations (114) by analyzing the number of received first connection requests of the mobile stations (114) being in idle mode.

  • Publication number: 20090104917
Abstract: A position-finding method in a radiocommunication system comprising at least one first and one second sub-system and means (34, 35, 36, 39) for finding the position of a mobile terminal (30), wherein the mobile system can communicate and carry out measurements relating to position-finding on each of the first and second sub-systems, and the position finding means for locating the mobile terminal are embodied in such a way that they can take into account certain measurements carried out by the mobile terminal. The inventive method comprises the following steps when the mobile terminal is connected to the first sub-system: measurements relating to position finding on the second sub-system are carried out in the mobile terminal; the measurements thus carried out are transmitted to the first sub-system; and carrying out the measurements in order to find the position of the mobile terminal by taking into account certain measurements, at least those transmitted to the first sub-system.
