  • Publication number: 20240036302
Abstract: The present invention relates to night-vision binoculars, comprising: a. a fixed lens assembly comprising a projection lens having an output axis referred to as the projection axis, b. two eyepieces, each eyepiece having an output axis referred to as the vision axis, the vision axes of the two eyepieces being parallel and separated by an adjustable distance, called inter-pupillary distance, the vision axis of each eyepiece also being parallel to the projection axis of the lens assembly and having the same non-zero centre-to-centre distance from the projection axis of the lens assembly, each eyepiece being rotatably movable relative to the projection axis of the lens assembly so as to adjust the inter-pupillary distance.

  • Patent number: 9807370
Abstract: A stereoscopic picture taking systems includes a first camera having a first optical objective, and a second camera having a second optical objective, where the optical characteristics of the two objectives are substantially identical. The stereoscopic system also includes a plane semi-reflecting plate in front of the first objective and inclined by a predetermined angle on the optical axis of the first objective. The stereoscopic picture taking system also includes an optical element having a plane reflecting surface disposed at the level of the second objective and inclined by the same predetermined angle on the optical axis of the second objective such way that the main part of the optical axis of the second objective is substantially parallel to the optical axis of the first objective. This optical element can be a plane mirror or a return prism. The first objective has a plate of identical optical thickness.

  • Patent number: 7409792
Abstract: The field of the invention is that of weapon aiming sights having a light intensifier. To make certain firing modes safe, a weapon may be provided with a camera allowing a soldier to take aim while remaining protected. The proposed invention allows this function to be fulfilled at night. For this purpose, a night vision aiming sight with a light intensifier comprising two optical channels is fitted onto the weapon. The first optical channel provides the camera placed on the weapon with an intensified image. The second optical channel provides the firer with a directly observable intensified image. In a variant, the aiming sight also includes a display that supplies the soldier with additional information superimposed on the intensified images.
