  • Patent number: 9614784
Abstract: Techniques relate to facilitating assignments of tasks to promote efficient resource timetables. A first communication from a client device is received that corresponds to an electronic request to sue a resource to complete a task. A task type of the task and a client corresponding to the electronic request are identified. Usage data corresponding to the task type and client are identified. A task-assignment duration is defined based on the usage data and a buffer time period. An availability in a timetable of a resource that is of a duration that is at least as long as the task-assignment duration is identified. A second communication identifying a start time of the availability is transmitted to the client device. A third communication is received that accepts the start time, and a fourth communication is transmitted to a device controlling use of the resource that identifies the client, task and availability.

  • Publication number: 20160377755
Abstract: The instant invention is designed to provide an adaptive approach to removing short-period time/phase distortions within a downward-continuation process that is a key component of seismic migration algorithms Using techniques analogous to residual statics corrections that are used in standard seismic processing, one inventive approach estimates and removes the effects of short wavelength velocity disruptions, thereby creating clearer seismic images of the subsurface of the earth. Additionally, the instant method will provide an updated velocity model that can be used to obtain further image improvement.

  • Publication number: 20160357011
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a motion control system controlling an image projected from an underwater projection system in a water feature, pool, or spa. The system includes a rotatable base and a mirror support member hingedly coupled to the rotatable base. A first motor is coupled to the rotatable base and is configured to rotate the mirror support member in a first plane. A second motor is coupled to the rotatable base and a fixed mount, wherein the second motor is configured to rotate the rotatable base relative to the fixed mount thereby rotating the mirror support member in a second plane.

  • Publication number: 20160196254
Abstract: A method and apparatus for form processing is provided, requiring little to no data entry. Upon receiving an electronic notification containing a form, a validation server extracts an electronic contact address from the electronic notification. The validation server then applies a template associated with the sender's electronic contact address to a document to extract information necessary to generate an electronic form comprising machine parsable data. The sender is then granted access and prompted to validate the electronic form. The sender entity validates the electronic form by making any necessary changes or revisions and by submitting the editable web form. The form's parsable content is then stored directly as data in a database. In some embodiments, the validation server may accept the electronic validation with additional revision information. In these embodiments, the revision information may be applied to future forms received from the sender.

  • Publication number: 20160098779
Abstract: A method and apparatus are herein disclosed for allowing suppliers to generate an invoice from a purchase order without requiring them to log in or pre-register with a networked application. Implementation is provided by having a first user provide a first document to a networked application. An electronic notification is dispatched to a receiver for the first document with a unique link to a data entry page within the networked application. The data entry page is sandboxed with limited functionality within the networked application, but accepts data from the receiver to be sent directly into the first user's system.

  • Patent number: 8506426
Abstract: A method of playing a game called lobol, and a kit to facilitate playing it. The lobol is a small, solid ball. In addition to the lobol, the game requires one or more larger balls. A third element of equipment is a goal that has an opening large enough to admit the lobol, but small enough to exclude the larger ball. The game is played by placing the lobol on a playing field between a starting point and the goal enclosure. One player is designated as the “player in possession”. That player propels one of the balls towards the lobol with the intention of moving the lobol into the goal, thereby scoring a goal. The player in possession continues throwing the ball at the lobol, until they miss. The other player then takes over as the player in possession, and they attempt to move the lobol into the goal.

  • Patent number: 8034225
Abstract: Methods of use, accessories and chambers, optimal for performing Pulsed Field Gel Electrophoresis (PFGE) of DNA molecules in ‘Contour Clamped Homogeneous Electric Field’ (CHEF) and ‘Transversal Alternating Field Electrophoresis’ (TAFE) systems, are provided herein. DNA molecules are rapidly separated in the minigels of these chambers. The sizes of chambers and accessories are determined by the separation between the opposite polarity electrodes; which is comprised between 6.2 and 15 cm. Reproducibility of molecule separation is achieved because the accessories warrant homogeneous electric resistance in the buffer and minigels. Chambers allow a high-throughput sample format using the reagents efficiently. It is attained excluding the non-useful electrophoresis zones. For a better optimization, TAFE chambers have several useful electrophoresis zones (UEZ), each carrying a minigel.

  • Patent number: 7690816
Abstract: A fountain lighting system including a light engine head containing an LED light engine and a control housing containing control gear electronics includes a fixture support providing thermal separation between the light engine head and the control housing. The fixture support includes a lid with a bar extending from the edge thereof. The lid closes the control housing while the bar mounts the light engine head. An anchoring mount is also on the bar. The lid includes receptacles for receiving power, control and light engine cables with wicking barriers separating the various components provided in the lid itself. Temperature sensors in the light engine head and in the control housing send data communication to the control gear electronics to limit power to avoid thermal loading. The control gear electronics modulates the power to prevent apparent cycling. A pool lighting system provides similar features in a niche. A gap open to the niche thermally separates the light engine head from the control housing.
