  • Patent number: 11891881
Abstract: A system for sequestering carbon in a well includes a fluid waste processor configured to receive the fluid waste, to receive water, to separate solids from the fluid waste such that a separated fluid waste is generated, and to introduce the separated fluid waste and the water into a disposal well, a first sensor positioned at a first location and configured to measure a flowrate of the separated fluid waste and the water. The system includes a data processor configured to determine an amount of carbon sequestered in the well based on the flowrate measured by the first sensor and a hydrocarbon content of the separated fluid waste and the water, and a second sensor positioned at a second location in the fluid waste processor, the second sensor configured to measure a flowrate of the separated fluid waste but not a flowrate of the water.

  • Publication number: 20230381947
Abstract: Described herein relates to an apparatus and method of capturing a movement of a targeted muscle group of a user and transferring it to another muscle group of the user. The appendage work sharing device comprises a cable pulley system, creating an external mechanical pathway to transfer upper limb joint motion or force to the lower limb joints. Accordingly, by creating the external mechanical pathway, the appendage work sharing apparatus provides a self-regulated and self-powered means to assist lower limbs during ambulatory movements using upper limb muscles, reducing the lower limb muscle work (e.g., electromyography) during several ambulatory movements (e.g., sit to stand and step up) using upper limb muscles (e.g., shoulders, biceps, or triceps).

  • Publication number: 20230372768
Abstract: Described herein relates to a variable resistance exercise system and method of providing resistance to a target muscle group at a predetermined joint of a user. The variable resistance exercise system may be configured to provide speed-dependent, bi-directional, and/or variable resistance at the predetermined joint. Accordingly, the variable resistance exercise system, may target the predetermined joint (e.g., an elbow) and/or provide resistance against the ability of the user to flex the targeted muscle group about the predetermined joint, optimizing the effectiveness and safety of resistance training, allowing the promotion of muscle hypertrophy of the user.

  • Publication number: 20220265442
Abstract: A method and apparatus for enhancing the operation of leg prothesis is provided. The apparatus includes a cable configured to be attached to the leg prosthesis worn by a subject to move through a plurality of gait phases. The apparatus also includes a module configured to be mounted to the leg prosthesis. The module includes a tension spring configured to engage the cable to maintain tension in the cable. The module also includes a locking mechanism configured to lock a position of the tension spring and maintain a length of the cable defined between the module and the leg prosthesis during at least one first gait phase of the plurality of gait phases. The locking mechanism is further configured to unlock the position of the tension spring to permit variation of the length of the cable during at least one second gait phase of the plurality of gait phases.

  • Patent number: 11105186
Abstract: A system for injecting a portion of a fluid waste into a well includes a fluid waste processor configured to receive the fluid waste and process the fluid waste for storage in the well, a primary sensor coupled to the fluid waste processor at a primary location, the primary sensor being configured to measure a fluid flow rate of the fluid waste, a hydrocarbon content of the fluid waste at or proximal to the primary location of the primary sensor being determined, and a data processor configured to determine an amount of carbon sequestered in the well based at least in part on a combination of the fluid flow rate and the hydrocarbon content.
