  • Patent number: 4880031
Abstract: A control head has support structure arranged to support it at the rear side of a dashboard. This control head supports a mode control lever and a valve having an elongated housing with pressure inlet and outlet laterals therein. The outlet laterals are arranged to communicate with remote fluid pressure operated structures, and the valve has a stem operated by the mode control lever for controlled operation of the inlet and outlet laterals upon pivoted movement of the lever to operate the remote fluid pressure operated structures. The structural arrangement of the control head facilitates use of quick connect and disconnect flexible tubing between the inlet and outlet laterals and with the fluid pressure operated structures. The control head also has a cam switch operated by the mode control lever for controlled operation of an air conditioning unit.

  • Patent number: 4681496
Abstract: An elongated shank has a first section with circumferential grooves arranged for anchoring engagement with a power tool. The shank also has a second section adjacent the first section with circumferential grooves. A collar is arranged to be placed on the second section and also arranged to be swaged into locking engagement therewith by a power tool. A third section at the end of the shank opposite from the first section has screw threads and this section receives a nut in threaded engagement to form a removable and adjustable abutment in association with work pieces and the collar which has been preloaded against the work piece and swaged by a power tool. The shank may be provided with a wrench engaging portion for holding it against rotation when the nut is turned. As an alternative, the collar may be provided with the wrench engaging portion.

  • Patent number: 4505001
Abstract: A flexible tube is suspended from a support arranged to be mounted adjacent a vehicle light surface to be cleaned. The support has an inlet for admitting compressed air to the tube whereby upon selected pressured flow of air through the tube, the tube whips back and forth in a flogging action to clean foreign material from the surface. The support also has an inlet for a cleaning solution used in combination with the whipping tube. The tube has a shape in cross section that tends to maintain it in the plane of the surface being cleaned. In modifications of the invention, a guide is provided to hold the tube in close to the surface being cleaned, and apertures are provided in the tube so that air pressure urges the tube toward the surface.

  • Patent number: 4459718
Abstract: A piston head has opposite fluid drive surfaces and is enclosed in a cylinder housing also having opposite fluid drive surfaces. The piston head is secured to a piston rod anchored at one end to a stationary support whereby the piston head and cylinder housing produce driving movement of the cylinder housing. The cylinder housing has a work engaging arm on the exterior thereof. Fluid supply conduits lead into the piston head and open between the fluid drive surfaces. Control valves are provided between a pressured fluid supply and the piston head and include cycling controls providing advancing and retracting movement of the cylinder housing for reciprocating operation of the work engaging arm. A cycling operation is initiated by a normally closed spring return operating valve.
