  • Publication number: 20080251220
Abstract: The invention relates to a high-speed industrial roller door (1) comprising a door leaf (2) that is guided in lateral guides (4) and a drive that acts on the door leaf (2) to displace the latter from an open position into a closed position and vice versa. According to the invention, the door leaf (2) is held in the open position so that adjacent areas of the door leaf (2) are not in contact with one another, in a spiral section (42) of the lateral guides (4) located in the vicinity of the door lintel. The roller door also comprises a weight compensation device (6). The drive has two extension aims (54) that are coupled via joints to the lintel end of the door leaf (2), said aims (54) being situated at a distance from one another across the door width and being synchronously pivoted about a pivoting axis in a central area of the spiral section (42). The distance between the coupling points (543) of the extension arms (54) on the door leaf (2) and the pivoting axis of the extension arms (54) can be varied.

  • Patent number: 6243006
Abstract: A safety device for externally driven systems for protecting the movement of a system component against undesired collision with an object lying in the movement path of the system component is described, the system component to be monitored being capable of being moved in a guided fashion along a predetermined path (door plane ET). The movement path of a leading edge of a system component is preferably monitored by an optical beam protection, preferably on the basis of infrared beams, which protection has at least two, preferably at least three or a plurality of preferably parallel beams which are arranged staggered in the direction of movement of the system component and which are emitted on one side of the system component and received or reflected on the other side. The safety device has a safety circuit with which the movement of the system component is stopped or reversed if an obstacle is sensed in the movement path of the system component.

  • Patent number: 6218940
Abstract: A safety device for preferably vertically moving, motor-driven doors such as, for example, segmented doors or rolling shutter doors whose door leaf is capable of being moved in a guided fashion is described. The movement path of a leading door edge is monitored by a preferably optical beam protection, preferably on the basis of infrared beams. The beam protection has at least two, preferably at least three or a plurality of preferably parallel beams which are arranged staggered in the direction of movement of the door and which are emitted on one side of the door and received or reflected on the other side of the door. Furthermore, a safety circuit is provided with which the closing movement of the door is stopped if an obstacle is sensed in the movement path of the door.

  • Patent number: 5488982
Abstract: The lifting door has slatted armor for closing the door aperture, the armor having hinge straps including hinge members connected to one another by pins for articulation of the straps relative to one another. The hinge straps are supported in guide tracks at the sides of the door aperture. The adjoining slats attached to the hinge members are spaced from one another and sealing strips extending approximately the entire door width afford a seal between the opposed registering opposite edges of adjoining slats.

  • Patent number: 5484007
Abstract: A lifting door includes a plurality of slats pivotally connected one to the other for pivotal movement about horizontal axes. Each slat carries at opposite ends a guide. Guide tracks are disposed in a door aperture for guiding the door during opening and closing. The guide tracks above the door aperture extend in a generally inwardly directed spiral configuration whereby, upon opening the door, the slats are guided about the spirally configured guide tracks into an open position without engaging one another.

  • Patent number: 5394924
Abstract: The closure of the invention for an aperture has strips interlinked articulatedly via hinges in such a way that the distance between adjacent strips defines a space in which the hinge pins engage. Rubber sealing strips are fitted to interconnect adjacent strips; they are arranged coaxially with the hinge pins and engage with the strips virtually without any clearance.
