    Abstract: Examples are disclosed for a reverse direction grant (RDG) on a wireless communication channel between a first wireless device and a second wireless device. In some examples, an RDG may be used by the second wireless device to transmit data over a communication channel for a wireless local area network (WLAN) reserved for use by the first wireless device during a transmit opportunity (TxOP) time period. For these examples, the second wireless device may acknowledge the RDG but may wait for expected data to arrive before transmitting data over the communication channel. Methods are further provided in which a first data signal containing information is converted into an encoded signal using an Inverse Fast Fourier Transform. The encoded signal is converted into an encoded ultra-wide band signal that can be pulsed or transmitted using burst symbol cycles. The encoded pulsed ultra-wide band signal is decoded using a Fast Fourier Transform to obtain the information.
