  • Patent number: 5717006
Abstract: Composition for biomaterial for resorption/substitution of support tissues, dental tissues, bone tissues and osteoarticular tissues, which is made up of 40 to 75% by weight of a mineral phase comprising either a mixture of .beta. tricalcium phosphate (A) and hydroxyapatite (B), in a ratio A:B of between 20:80 and 70:30, or calcium titanium phosphate (Ca(Ti).sub.4 (PO.sub.4).sub.6) (C), and 60 to 25% by weight of a liquid phase comprising an aqueous solution of a polymer derived from cellulose. The mineral phase is a powder with a particle size 80 to 200 .mu.m in diameter. Preferably, the liquid phase is hydroxypropyl cellulose, and the concentration of the polymer in the liquid phase is from 0.5 to 4% by weight. The composition is prepared by mixing the mineral phase and the polymer of the liquid phase in an aqueous solution of defined viscosity, and sterilizing the liquid composition thus obtained.
