  • Patent number: 10042665
Abstract: A customer premise equipment (CPE) associated with a customer premise forms a virtual machine (VM) and allocates a portion of processing resources and a portion of communications resources included in the CPE to the VM. The processing resources include, for example, general purposes processes and specialized processors for performing certain tasks. The communications resources relate to exchanging data with the CPE. The VM is assigned to a service provider, and service data associated with a service is received from the service provider. The service data to be processed by the VM and the processed service data is forwarded to user devices at the customer premise to provide the service to the user devices. The CPE may form different VMs for different service providers.

  • Patent number: 9888397
Abstract: Techniques described herein may be used to implement an intelligent network analytics architecture (INAA) capable of monitoring a network in real-time and detecting faults occurring in the network. The INAA may develop and implement solutions to the problems, and subsequently verify that the solutions actually fixed the problems. The INAA may cause the solutions to be implemented throughout the network (and not just at the source of the initial problem). The INAA may identify other aspects of the network that are likely to experience similar (though not the same) problems in the future, develop solutions to those problems, and implement the solutions throughout the network. The INAA may enable an operator to participate in this process by providing a complete explanation of, and proposed solution to, a particular problem, and enabling the operator to approve, prevent, modify, postpone, etc., the implementation of the solution.

  • Patent number: 9324046
Abstract: A method includes identifying a plurality of content hubs associated with an enterprise. Each content hub represents a type of content associated with an enterprise. The method also includes identifying primary nodes dependent on each content hub. The primary nodes represent subgroups of the content associated with the content hub. The method includes identifying secondary nodes associated with each primary node. The secondary nodes represent content items from the subgroups of content associated with the primary nodes. The method further includes arranging the content hubs in a visual representation of an enterprise ecosystem. The enterprise ecosystem displays a relationship between the content hubs. The method also includes displaying dependent nodes within a relationship context of the enterprise ecosystem based on user selection.

  • Patent number: 9131449
Abstract: A device may receive, from a browser, a message requesting that a first signal from a first base station of a first wireless network be attenuated in accordance with a first attenuation value. The device may set an attenuation level of the first wireless signal in accordance with the first attenuation value in response to the message. The first signal attenuated by the first attenuation value is wirelessly transmitted to a first user device at a first area shielded from signals wirelessly transmitted to a second user device at a second location.

  • Patent number: 7594038
Abstract: An approach is provided for configuring telemetry devices over a wireless network is disclosed. A client (e.g., web browser application) communicates with a fleet and asset management system to obtain information about a plurality of objects (vehicle or asset). In response to the user input, the client transmits the user input to the fleet and asset management, wherein the fleet and asset management generates a configuration message based on the user input for transmission over the wireless network to the one telemetry device for configuring an input/output (I/O) port of the telemetry device. The I/O port is coupled to a corresponding one of the objects. The telemetry device sets parameters relating to the I/O port according to the configuration message.

  • Patent number: 7496347
Abstract: An approach is provided for securely communicating in a wireless network. A cryptographic server generates a command to enable a secure mode of operation for a wireless device, wherein the wireless device can operate in a secure mode and an unsecure mode in support of two-way messaging. The cryptographic server sends the command to the wireless device to activate the secure mode of operation. The secure mode of operation provides transmission of an encrypted message by the wireless device over the wireless network.

  • Patent number: 7460871
Abstract: An approach is provided for tracking a telemetry device over a wireless network. A determination is made whether the telemetry device is operating in a first mode requiring assisted Global Positioning System (A-GPS) data from the wireless network to determine location of the telemetry device. The A-GPS data is transmitted to the telemetry device if the telemetry device is operating in the first mode, wherein the telemetry device operates in a second mode to obtain GPS data autonomously for determining the location when the telemetry device is outside of the coverage area of the wireless network.
