  • Patent number: 4187050
Abstract: A quick-disconnect coupling for fixing tools or the like to a powered arm including a base, mounting structure on the base for affixing the same to an arm, a pair of hooks having oppositely facing openings, one of the hooks being immovably mounted on the base and the other being movably mounted on the base, and a latch movably mounted on the base and engageable with the movably mounted hook for preventing movement thereof. Interengaging cam surfaces are disposed on the movably mounted hook and the latch whereby the hook may cam the latch aside while moving to a latched position and there are also provided interengaging surfaces on the movably mounted hook and the latch so that forces applied to the latch by the hook, when the hook is latched, will not tend to move the latch to release the hook.

  • Patent number: 4144614
Abstract: An improved drive system for a windshield wiper suited for use in a vehicle cab structure including a cab frame with at least one window movably mounted on the frame for movement between open and closed positions. A windshield wiper is mounted on the cab frame for wiping the window and a drive is provided for the wiper. A releasable drive connection is disposed between the drive and the wiper and the present invention contemplates the provision of a linkage having a component disposed in the path of movement of the window and another part connected to the releasable drive such that when the window is moved from a closed position to an open position, the drive connection is released so that the wiper cannot be operated with the window in an open position.

  • Patent number: 4012960
Abstract: A pressure gauge adapted to sense the level of fuel in a tank comprises a case having a pressure inlet conduit secured thereto and an expansible and contractible bellows attached to the conduit and communicating internally therewith. The indicating means is movably mounted in the case and connected to the bellows for visually indicating the level of fuel in a tank in response to expansion and contraction of the bellows. In a first embodiment of this invention, the indicating means constitutes a color wheel rotatably mounted in the case and connected to the bellows by a rack and pinion gear arrangement. In a second embodiment thereof, the indicating means constitutes a color card secured to the bellows for reciprocal movements therewith. In a third embodiment of this invention, the indicating means constitutes a dial pivotally mounted on the case and connected to the bellows by a lost motion pin and slot connection.

  • Patent number: 4009901
Abstract: A windshield wiper arm assembly comprises a shaft mounted for oscillation on an operator's cab or a vehicle, adjacent to a windshield thereof. The wiper arm is normally coupled to the shaft and retained at a first position thereon by a spring clip, for oscillation therewith. Upon release of the spring clip from the shaft, the wiper arm may be moved axially to a second position on the shaft whereby the shaft is free to oscillate relative to the wiper arm. A storage clip is secured to the operator's cab to retain the wiper arm in its second, inoperative position.
