Abstract: A form relieving apparatus for providing axial and radial relief for a cutting tool such as a drilling or reaming bit, including a workpiece supporting carriage mounted for rectilinear movement in one of two perpendicular directions or in any direction therebetween and means for moving said supporting carriage a selected distance in a selected direction to move said cutting tool into and out of engagement with a grinding wheel.
