  • Patent number: 11589295
Abstract: In a wireless communication network, a provisioning system transfers a Session Management Function (SMF) Application Programming Interface (API) call for a User Plane Function (UPF) metric to an SMF. The SMF transfers a UPF API call for the UPF metric to the UPF over signaling. The UPF transfers a UPF API response indicating the UPF metric to the SMF over signaling. The SMF transfers an SMF API response indicating the UPF metric to the provisioning system. The provisioning system may obtain UE metrics through the SMF or an Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) in a like manner. The provisioning system may obtain Radio Access Network (RAN) metrics through the SMF or AMF in a like manner.

  • Publication number: 20220400363
Abstract: A wireless communication system delivers a data service to a wireless User Equipment (UE). A network controller exchanges UE signaling with the wireless UE and transfers UE information to a Network Exposure Function (NEF). The NEF transfers network information that indicates Quality-of-Service (QoS) levels and cost levels for the UE to a user data system. The NEF receives user selections from the user data system that indicate a selected QoS level and a selected cost level. The NEF indicates the selected QoS level to the network controller. The NEF indicates the selected cost level to a Charging Function (CHF). The network controller directs network elements to transfer UE data for the UE using the selected QoS level. The network elements transfer the user data for the UE using the selected QoS level. The CHF generates charging data for the UE based on the selected cost level.

  • Patent number: 11523271
Abstract: A wireless communication network serves a User Equipment (UE) and exports UE capability data. A UE Capability Management Function (UCMF) receives the UE capability data and transfers the UE capability data to a Network Exposure Function (NEF). The NEF transfers the UE capability data to another wireless communication network. The UCMF receives additional UE capability data. The NEF receives a UE capability request for the UE from the other wireless communication network. In response, the NEF transfers the UE capability request for the UE to the UCMF. The UCMF transfers additional UE capability data to the NEF. The NEF transfers the additional UE capability data to the other wireless communication network.

  • Patent number: 11463856
Abstract: In a wireless communication system, a controller network element establishes a data tunnel between a wireless user device and an application server. An exposure network element receives an uplink QoS level and a cost, and the exposure network element indicates the uplink QoS level to a policy network element and indicates the service cost to a charging network element. The policy network element indicates related tunnel instructions to the controller network element. The charging network element indicates related quota instructions to the controller network element. The controller network element directs the data network element to transfer application data over the data tunnel using the uplink QoS level. The data network element transfers the application data over the data tunnel from the wireless user device to the application server at the uplink QoS level.

  • Publication number: 20220303874
Abstract: A data communication network controls network access for User Equipment (UE) over a non-Third Generation Partnership Project (non-3GPP) access node. The non-3GPP access node transfers a UE access control message to a non-3GPP Interworking Function (IWF). The non-3GPP IWF transfers an N2 message indicating the UE access control message to a 3GPP Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF). The 3GPP AMF transfers an N1 message indicating the UE access control message to the UE. The UE processes the UE access control message from the non-3GPP access node.

  • Patent number: 11308185
Abstract: System and methods are provided for determining whether a media file in a private network has been suspiciously modified. In embodiments, a server controlled by a service provider, for example, can generate a digital provenance for a media file from a trusted device and immutably store a hash value representing the digital provenance of the media file. Subsequent instances of the media file that are detected within the private network, in embodiments, are evaluated by the server using the digital provenance of the media file in order to identify changes to the content of the media file. In further embodiments, the server can modify the content of a suspiciously modified media file to include a marker that disclaims the content and/or otherwise indicates that the media file has been modified.

  • Patent number: 11108637
Abstract: In a wireless mesh network, a leader relay transfers Remote Procedure Calls (RPCs) to follower relays that indicate leader Identifier (ID), term ID, index, log-entry, and entry command. The follower relays receive the RPCs and enter the log-entry. The leader relay commits the log-entry to a state machine. The state machine generates a mesh architecture that indicates user-access spectrum, relay-interconnect spectrum, and relay-backhaul spectrum. The leader relay transfers RPCs to the follower relays that indicate leader ID, term ID, index, commit command, and the leader mesh architecture. The follower relays receive the RPCs and commit the log-entry to their state machines which generate mesh architectures. The relays wirelessly exchange user data with user devices over the user access spectrum. The relays wirelessly exchange user data with each other over the relay-interconnect spectrum. The relays wirelessly exchange user data with other networks over the relay backhaul spectrum.
