  • Patent number: 9426821
Abstract: In a wireless communication system a method for combination transmission of packet data and low delay data. In one embodiment a parallel signaling channel provides a message to receivers indicating a target recipient of packet data. The message also identifies the transmission channels used for packet data transmissions. Each receiver may then selectively decode only packets where the message identifies the receiver as a target recipient. The data packets stored in a buffer are ignored if the target recipient is another mobile unit. In one embodiment, the message is sent concurrently with the data packet on a parallel channel. In one embodiment, the message, is punctured into the high rate packet data transmission.

  • Patent number: 9363788
Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided in which at least one bit rate for allocating network resources from a broadcast-multicast service center (BM-SC) is received. The network resources are then allocated based on the at least one bit rate. Moreover, all evolved Node Bs (eNBs) in a broadcast/multicast area are informed of the network resource allocation. Additionally, the network resources are allocated for a session based on a first bit rate, wherein the first bit rate is greater than a guaranteed bit rate (GBR), and the network resource allocation is adjusted to a second bit rate based on the occurrence of an event, wherein the second bit rate is equal to GBR.

  • Patent number: 9072005
Abstract: A network entity may dynamically control Quality-of-Service (QoS) for a multicast transmission in a wireless communications system, by initiating a multicast transmission having an initial QoS, and later during the multicast transmission, generating an updated QoS for the multicast transmission. The network entity may generate the updated QoS in response to a network load factor for a multicast area aggregated from base stations in the area. The network load factor may indicate a measure of aggregate available bandwidth in the multicast area. The network entity may provide the updated QoS to mobile entities receiving the multicast transmission, which may process a subsequent portion of multicast content according to the updated QoS.

  • Publication number: 20150132821
Abstract: Endonucleases play an essential role in genetic engineering and molecular biology. A major barrier to the clinical adoption of nucleases and engineered nucleases remain the overall lack of specificity and activity. Off-site cleavage, cleavage at loci other than the target loci, typically occurs resulting in mutations, unexpected gene-knockouts, or translocations. Provided herein are systems and methods for identifying the off-site cleavage loci and predicting the activity of engineered endonucleases for a given genome. It is expected that these tools and methods will be useful for designing nucleases and other related DNA binding domains (e.g. TAL effectors) for genomic therapy and engineering.
