  • Patent number: 11920031
Abstract: Disclosed is a high ultraviolet blocking polylactic acid composite material reinforced by POSS modified bamboo powder. The preparation method therefor includes steps of carrying out chemical grafting modification of bamboo powder with proper particle size by using POSS containing specific organic groups, and then adding the modified bamboo powder to polylactic acid for melting and co-extrusion to obtain POSS modified bamboo powder. The present disclosure makes full use of the 30% lignin in the bamboo powder, having the advantages of wide source, biological metabolizability and low price; the present disclosure does not need the traditional inorganic ultraviolet blocking agent, nor need to extract refined lignin from natural materials, but directly takes inexpensive and easy-to-obtain bamboo powder as main raw material. The composite material prepared in the present disclosure can greatly improve the UV blocking performance, mechanical properties and thermal stability of the PLA.

  • Patent number: 11911460
Abstract: A lipid delivery system, a virus-like structure (VLS) vaccine constructed therefrom, and a lipid particle capable of encapsulating an mRNA molecule encoding a SARS-CoV-2-specific antigen are provided. After the lipid particle encapsulates an mRNA molecule encoding a SARS-CoV-2 antigen, a SARS-CoV-2 S1 antigen protein can be embedded on a surface of an envelope structure of the lipid under specific buffer conditions to produce a VLS vaccine with an antigen-encoding mRNA molecule encapsulated inside and an outer membrane presenting a required viral antigen protein. The vaccine has a superior specific antibody-inducing ability to a SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccine and a polypeptide vaccine, can maintain a long-lasting high antibody level, and can also exhibit excellent immune binding abilities for the emerging different variants.

Abstract: Systems and methods for calibrating a synthetic image on an avionic display. The method includes receiving a synthetic image frame generated by an avionic display system and a sensor image frame from a forward-facing onboard sensor system. Object recognition is performed on the sensor image frame to generate a first search region for a first Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) marking, defined as a first search region-FAA marking pair. The sensor image frame and the first search region-FAA marking pair are processed using a deep learning method (DLM) to determine for the first FAA marking of the first search region-FAA marking pair, each of: a position deviation calculation, an orientation deviation calculation, and a synthetic image distortion factor. The synthetic image frame is then updated and rendered in accordance with the position deviation calculation, the orientation deviation calculation, and the synthetic image distortion factor, thereby calibrating the synthetic image frame.

  • Publication number: 20230395751
Abstract: Methods and devices are presented for transforming a layout of a densely packed grid of micro-LED light emitters to a layout of a square rectilinear pixel grid to achieve compatibility with hardware and software used in imaging and display technologies. In particular, a pattern of regular hexagonal emitter cells for fabrication on a III-nitride substrate can be transformed to a square pixel array of irregular hexagonal trichrome pixels that are readily addressable. Separation between adjacent trichrome pixels, and between their constituent emitters, can be established for overlay tolerance, while maintaining a cell packing density of about 70% and a pixel pitch of about 4.0 ?m. Wavelength and quantum efficiency properties are shown to depend on optical current density, which can be determined by the emitter area specified in the grid layout.

  • Publication number: 20230297123
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for assisting operation of a vehicle by monitoring a physiological state of an operator and automatically initiating a remedial action responsive to a change in the physiological state. One method involves determining a biometric indication of the current physiological state based on measurement data from one or more sensing devices, determining an activity-based indication of the current physiological state based on output signals from one or more user interface elements and determining an aggregate indicator of the current physiological state as a function of the biometric indication and the activity-based indication using one or more weighting factors that vary during operation of the vehicle. • Publication number: 20230245572
Abstract: An ADS-B traffic filter to remove ADS-B positional messages or tracks with unstable ADS-B data or anomalies. The anomaly in ADS-B data can be caused by own ship ADS-B data processing and by errors in ADS-B OUT messages, such as positional outliers, ADS-B OUT parameters gaps, frozen data, walking track when stopped and other issues encoded within ADS-B OUT messages. The ADS-B traffic filter of this disclosure may remove erroneous ADS-B targets from computation input delivered to a traffic collision warning systems in locations where high horizontal position accuracy is desirable such as ground operations. The filter may validate and compare positions decoded from received ADS-B OUT messages, and short duration data history of targets, to independent signal components from ADS-B broadcast (e.g., position and ground speed data), as well as compare the reported position with a reasonability bound provided by local runway or airport geometry data.
