  • Patent number: 10602241
Abstract: The present invention discloses numerous implementations for IP-based call processing systems that can selectively control an outgoing call initiated by a source device to a destination device. The call processing system causes a Service Switching Point (SSP) associated with the source device to initiate a media connection between the IP-based call processing system and the source device. The call processing system further causes initiation of a call feature for the outgoing call using the media connection with the source device. The call feature may include a call restriction feature, a call feature for conveying an audio element to the source device, a call record feature and a call feature for conveying information to the source device. The call processing system further causes establishment of a media connection between the source and the destination devices.

  • Publication number: 20160050161
Abstract: In an example, a server architecture is described for a dynamic cascaded node chain providing a resource cluster. The cascaded node chain may include one or more resource instances provisioned as a head node, zero or more middle nodes, and a tail node. Each node may include a discrete number of available resource entries in a flow table. As traffic enters the head node, each node attempts to match the traffic to an entry in its flow table. If no match is found, the packet is downlinked to the next node in the chain. If the packet reaches the tail node without a match, it is punted to the controller. The controller may then provision a matching entry if an entry is available. If not, the controller may spawn a new resource instance. When the full capacity of the cluster is reached, non-matching entries may be dropped.

  • Patent number: 9028681
Abstract: A drainage device for draining liquid out of a closed chamber includes a main body, a piston assembly, and a transmission assembly. The main body defines a receiving chamber and a liquid inlet communicating with the receiving chamber to the closed chamber. The piston assembly is fixed in the receiving chamber of the main body. The transmission assembly is partially received in the receiving chamber. The transmission assembly and the piston assembly cooperatively separate the receiving chamber to a first chamber adjacent to the liquid inlet and a second chamber away from the liquid inlet. The transmission assembly is slidably received in the receiving chamber, thereby causing air pressure differences between the first chamber and the second chamber, to pump the liquid from the closed chamber to the second chamber. The main body further defines a plurality of discharge holes for draining liquid out of the second chamber.

  • Patent number: 8531992
Abstract: The present invention discloses numerous implementations for IP-based call processing systems that can selectively control an outgoing call initiated by a source device to a destination device. The call processing system communicates with a Service Switching Point (SSP) associated with the source device and determines whether a media message is to be conveyed to the source device. It could determine a media message is to be conveyed to the source device for many reasons including to convey a message related to a call feature, to prompt a user to provide authorization data, to alert a user of particular information or to provide an audio element to the source device prior to establishing the outgoing call. Upon determining to effect control of the outgoing call, the call processing system causes the SSP to initiate a media connection between the source device and the call processing system. The call processing system can then utilize the media connection to convey a media message to the source device.

  • Publication number: 20110164739
Abstract: The present invention discloses numerous implementations for conveying an audio element to a source device initiating an outgoing call while a user of the source device is waiting for a user of a destination device to answer the call. A call processing system receives a call request message from the source device, determines an audio element from a plurality of audio elements to convey to the source device and initiates conveyance of the audio element to the source device in response to receiving the call request message. The system then causes establishment of a media connection between the source and destination devices and terminates conveyance of the audio element to the source device prior to or substantially simultaneous with the establishment of the media connection between the source and destination devices. In various implementations, the source device may be implemented within the PSTN and/or an IP network.

  • Patent number: 6615164
Abstract: An approach for representing integrated circuit device characteristics using polynomial equations involves analyzing integrated circuit device characterization data in a lookup table form and using an order incremental scheme to determine a polynomial equation of a relatively low-order that satisfies specified accuracy criteria. In situations where a polynomial equation that has an order less than a maximum allowable order cannot be determined, the integrated circuit device characterization data is partitioned into sub-domains and polynomial equations are determined separately for each sub-domain. The separate polynomial equations are then combined to generate a piecewise polynomial equation that represents all of the integrated circuit device characterization data.

  • Patent number: 6583011
Abstract: A method to grow layers of gate oxide or gate base materials of different thicknesses for dual gate structures. The process starts with a semiconductor surface in which STI regions have been formed and over the surface of which a layer of gate base material has been grown. A dielectric, such as nitride, is deposited, masked and etched over a first region where thin gate base material must be created thereby exposing the surface of the deposited layer of gate base material in that region. The gate base material is etched to the desired thickness, creating a first thin layer of gate base material. A thick first layer of gate electrode material, poly, is deposited over the dielectric thereby including the surface of the first thin layer of gate base material, and polished down to the surface of the dielectric leaving gate electrode material deposited in the opening above the first thin layer of gate base material.

  • Patent number: 6417037
Abstract: A new method for forming dual gate dielectrics having high quality where both thin and thick gate dielectric thicknesses can be controlled separately is described. An isolation region separates a first active area from a second active area in a semiconductor substrate. A first gate dielectric layer is formed overlying the semiconductor substrate in the first and second active areas wherein the first gate dielectric layer has a first electrical thickness. The first gate dielectric layer in the second active area is removed. A second gate dielectric layer is formed in the second active area wherein the second gate dielectric layer has a second electrical thickness greater than the first electrical thickness and wherein the second gate dielectric layer is nitrided. A polysilicon layer is deposited overlying the first and second gate dieectric layers.
