Abstract: A package for containing a bearing includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion includes a body and a recess formed in the body. The second portion includes a body and a hub formed in the body. A first projection can be provided on the body of the first portion and a second projection can be provided on the body of the second portion. The first projection and second projection can extend outwardly from the first portion and second portion, respectively. The recess is adapted to receive the hub to effectuate mating engagement of the first portion and the second portion. Furthermore, when the bearing is provided in the package, the first projection and second projection are received in the interior cavity of the bearing to constrain movement of the bearing in the package. A packaging insert impregnated or coated with a vapor corrosion inhibitor can be provided within the package to inhibit corrosion of the bearings.
