Publication number: 20240150307Abstract: A method for maximizing the selectivity (S) of an epoxidation catalyst in an ethylene oxide reactor system, comprising: receiving a measured reactor selectivity (Smeas), a measured reactor temperature (Tmeas), and one or more operational parameters from an ethylene oxide production system, the measured reactor selectivity (Smeas), the measured reactor temperature (Tmeas), and the one or more operational parameters comprise real-time and historical operating data points over time generated by the ethylene oxide production system, and using a processor to conduct various calculations and determination in order to output an actionable recommendation that includes a target change (Mchange) of a moderator level (M) of a chloride-containing catalyst moderator to its optimal value (Mopt). The method further includes using the processor to (f) display the actionable recommendation on a display.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 6, 2022Publication date: May 9, 2024Inventors: Gary James WELLS, Randall Clayton YEATES

Publication number: 20240118917Abstract: Systems and methods for cloud-based file sharing, where templates are provided for creating workflow instances which enable the sharing of managed objects. Reusable workflow templates are stored in the repository of a cloud-based file sharing system as objects that define components of the workflow, or placeholders for these components. A user instantiates a workflow instance from one of the templates and configures the workflow instance to identify content objects or forms, tasks related to the content objects, and users assigned to perform the tasks. The workflow instance is stored as an object in the repository. Users assigned to tasks are authorized through the workflow instance to access the content objects or forms to perform the tasks.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 20, 2023Publication date: April 11, 2024Inventors: Kyle Anthony Aziz, Ryan David Steeves, Gary Clayton Cowan

Publication number: 20240069157Abstract: Example embodiments relate to methods and systems for using interference to detect sensor impairment. Radar or another type of sensor on a vehicle may receive radio-frequency (RF) signals propagating in the environment. These RF signals may originate from an external source and a computing device can be used to determine a distance and an angle to the source in order to identify a power level threshold that represents an expected power associated with the RF signals. The computing device may then perform a comparison between a power level of the RF signals and a power level threshold. Based on the comparison, the computing device may decrease a confidence assigned to the radar coupled to the vehicle and control the vehicle based on the decreased confidence assigned to the radar.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 30, 2022Publication date: February 29, 2024Inventors: Adam Brown, Gary Clayton

Publication number: 20230325359Abstract: An interface server (e.g., Web Application Open Platform Interface (WOPI) server) is communicatively connected to an information management (IM) server and to an online application server which acts as a client of the interface server. When a user wishes to open, create, or edit a document in an online application hosted by the online application server, the interface server is called, instead of the IM server which manages the document at the backend of an enterprise computing network. The interface server is configured for obtaining a working copy of the document from the IM server and providing the working copy to the client. The client provides the working copy to the online application for display on the user device. When the work is done, the working copy is sync'd back through the interface server to the IM server as a new draft and deleted by the interface server.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 3, 2023Publication date: October 12, 2023Inventors: Jody Hupton Palmer, Gary Clayton Cowan, Robert David James Reynolds

Patent number: 9143884Abstract: A facilitation and enhancement of interactions between a caller and a called party, such as a call center. The enhancement of interactions between a mobile device caller and a call center is by the communication of the mobile device caller's location and/or preferences to the call center. The communication can be in the form of a data structure stored on a computer-readable storage device, which may be transmitted from the mobile device caller to a call center controller. The data structure contains a caller identification entry, which allows the call center to match the data structure with a caller. In addition, a caller context entry associates additional data to the caller identification entry. The additional data includes at least one preference and/or location of the caller. Processor-based methods are disclosed to create, transmit, and/or utilize the data structure.Type: GrantFiled: November 9, 2012Date of Patent: September 22, 2015Assignee: Nuance Communications, Inc.Inventors: Shreedhar Madhavapeddi, Gary Clayton, Abhishek Chhibber, Pim van Meurs, Sundar Balasubramanian

Patent number: 9107293Abstract: Various apparatuses, methods, and systems are provided for cooling electronic components. For example, an apparatus includes an electronics enclosure having multiple ribs configured to separate electronic components. The apparatus also includes at least one fluid transport structure encased within the electronics enclosure. Each fluid transport structure includes multiple pipes and multiple flow channels. The flow channels are located within the ribs of the electronics enclosure, and the pipes are configured to transport cooling fluid to and from the flow channels. The fluid transport structure(s) and the electronics enclosure are formed from different materials. The at least one fluid transport structure can be resistant to corrosion caused by the cooling fluid, and the electronics enclosure can be susceptible to corrosion caused by the cooling fluid.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 2012Date of Patent: August 11, 2015Assignee: Raytheon CompanyInventors: Bruce C. Publication number: 20140136331Abstract: A processor-based method for composing an electronic service solicitation using mobile device call logs. The service, when delivered to a mobile device, can be a promotion of a third-party mobile device application, the presentment of a coupon, or the administration of a caller experience survey. The service is delivered in connection with the user making a call to a particular number on the mobile device. The method for composing the solicitation includes selecting a business number, selecting a group of wireless subscribers, sending an information request to the mobile devices of the selected wireless subscribers, receiving affirmative responses from the selected wireless subscribers who recently called the selected business number, counting the affirmative responses, and using the count for composing the solicitation.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 9, 2012Publication date: May 15, 2014Applicant: Nuance Communications, Inc.Inventors: Shreedhar Madhavapeddi, Gary Clayton, Abhishek Chhibber, Pim van Meurs, Sundar Balasubramanian
